Iran Pride Day, National Day of Iranian LGBTs, or National Day Of Sexual Minorities is an annual LGBT pride event held on the fourth Friday of July (first Friday of the Iranian month of Mordad) in Iran since 2010. Rainbow Flag (LGBT Movement)
The rainbow flag, also known as the (gay) pride flag, is a symbol of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) pride and LGBT social movements. The colors reflect the diversity of the LGBT community and the spectrum of human sexuality and gender. Using a rainbow flag as a symbol of gay pride began in San Francisco, California, but eventually became common at LGBT rights events worldwide. ''Resalat'' ( fa, رسالت, lit=The Prophecy) is a conservative daily newspaper in Iran. It is a pro-Khamenei and pro-Ahmadinejad newspaper. History and profile ''Resalat'' was first published in 1985. The paper belongs to the Resalat Foundation and focuses on political, cultural, social, economic and sports news. Morteza Nabavi is the editor-in-chief of the daily which has a conservative stance. Amsterdam Gay Pride
Amsterdam Pride, Amsterdam Gay Pride or Pride Amsterdam is a citywide queer-festival held annually at the center of Amsterdam during the first weekend of August. The festival attracts several hundred-thousand visitors each year and is one of the largest publicly held annual events in the Netherlands. Amsterdam Pride was first organized in 1996, meant as a festival to celebrate freedom and diversity. It was therefore not like many other Gay Prides, which began as demonstrations for equal rights.
