Iowa Senate District 38
The 38th District of the Iowa Senate is located in eastern Iowa, and is currently composed of part of Black Hawk, Benton, Tama Counties. Current elected officials Dawn Driscoll is the senator currently representing the 38th District. Thomas Gerhold
Thomas Gerhold (born 21 June 1961) is an American politician. A member of the Republican Party, he was elected to the Iowa House of Representatives for the first time in 2018, from District 84. Early life, education, and career Gerhold was born on 21 June 1961. He was raised near Atkins, Iowa, where his family owned a farm. Gerhold attended Benton Community High School, and enrolled at Kirkwood Community College and later the University of Iowa. He then worked as a research associate within the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. Tom Rielly
Thomas J. Rielly (born 1966) is a former Iowa State Senator from the Iowa Senate, District 36, 38th district. A Democratic Party (United States), Democrat, he was elected to the Iowa Senate defeating Republican incumbent Neal Schuerer in 2004 with 14,670 votes (52%). Ashley Hinson
Ashley Elizabeth Hinson (born June 27, 1983) is an American politician and journalist serving as the U.S. representative for Iowa's 1st congressional district since 2021. Her district comprises much of the northeast quadrant of the state, including Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, Cedar Falls, and Dubuque.
