Ralph Rosenberg
Ralph Rosenberg (born 7 October 1949) is an American politician. Ralph Rosenberg is of Jewish descent, born to parents Nathan and Rhea Rosenberg in Chicago on 7 October 1949. He was educated at Bowen High School, and graduated from the University of Illinois in 1972, then completed legal studies at Drake Law School in 1974. He remained in Story County, serving as county attorney for juvenile court and director of the county branch of The Legal Aid Society. Rosenberg was first elected to the Iowa House of Representatives in 1981 and represented District 42. He won his first full term in 1982, and remained in office as the legislator from District 73 between 1983 and 1991. Rosenberg subsequently served on the Iowa Senate, elected from District 37. Gene Fraise
Eugene Stace Fraise (May 7, 1932 – November 27, 2020) was an American politician from Iowa. Career He served in the Iowa Senate from the 46th district from 1986, when he filled a vacancy left by Lowell Junkins' resignation, until 2013. Fraise served on several committees in the Iowa Senate – the Appropriations committee; the Judiciary committee; and the Agriculture committee, of which he was the committee chairman. He also served as vice chair of the Justice System Appropriations Subcommittee. His prior political experience includes sitting on the Lee County Board of Supervisors for seven years. Fraise was re-elected in 2004 with 14,272 votes (53%), defeating Republican opponent Doug P. Abolt. Death Fraise died from COVID-19 in West Burlington, Iowa, on November 27, 2020, at age 88. Ashley Hinson
Ashley Elizabeth Hinson (born June 27, 1983) is an American politician and journalist serving as the U.S. representative for Iowa's 1st congressional district since 2021. Her district comprises much of the northeast quadrant of the state, including Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, Cedar Falls, and Dubuque. A member of the Republican Party, Hinson was the Iowa State Representative for the 67th district from 2017 to 2021, the first woman to represent the district. RasTafari I. "Ras" Smith (born December 29, 1987) is an American politician from Iowa. He has served in the Iowa House of Representatives since 2017, as a legislator from District 62. Personal life, education, and early career RasTafari Smith was named for the royal title and given name of Haile Selassie. The name was selected by his mother, Belinda Creighton-Smith, a pastor. Timi Brown-Powers (born 1967) is an American therapist and politician serving as a member of the Iowa House of Representatives, representing District 61. She was first elected to the House in 2014. Early life and education Timi Brown-Powers was born at Beale Air Force Base in Yuba County, California and raised in the Beaverdale neighborhood of Des Moines, Iowa. Her father worked at the Firestone plant while her mother ran a business out of their home and worked for the Des Moines public schools.
