Iosif Lereter
Iosif Lereter (born 23 July 1933) is a Romanian former footballer and manager. Career Iosif Lereter was born on 23 July 1933 in Oțelu Roșu, Romania and at the beginning of his career he played as a forward and midfielder, ending his career as a defender. He started to play football in the lower leagues of Romania at the local club from his town, Energia Oțelu Roșu in 1949. He went to play for Politehnica Timișoara where he made his debut in the Romanian top-league Divizia A on 18 August 1957 in a 2–2 against Progresul Oradea. Lereter was part of Politehnica's team that won the 1957–58 Cupa României, playing in the 1–0 victory from the final against Progresul București. In 1967 he went to play for UTA Arad, where under the guidance of coach Nicolae Dumitrescu he won two consecutive league titles, in the first he contributed with 10 goals scored in 30 appearances and in the second he scored 7 goals in 29 matches. Oțelu Roșu
Oțelu Roșu (, lit. (the) “Red Steel”; formerly ''Ferdinand''; hu, Nándorhegy; german: Ferdinandsberg) is a town in northeastern Caraș-Severin County, Romania, in the Bistra Valley. It is situated on the national road 68, between Caransebeș (21 km away) and Hațeg. The town administers two villages, Cireșa (''Bisztracseres'') and Mal (''Mál''). It is situated in the historical region of Banat. Liga II
The Liga 2, most often spelled as Liga II, is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name from Divizia B just before the start of the 2006–07 Liga II, 2006–07. It is currently Sponsor (commercial), sponsored by Casa Pariurilor, a betting company with the official name Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor. Format Divisions Since its inception in 1934, Liga II had between 2 and 9 parallel divisions, with clubs divided based on geographic regions. Czechoslovakia National Football Team
The Czechoslovakia national football team ( cs, Československá fotbalová reprezentace, sk, Česko-slovenské národné futbalové mužstvo) was the national football team of Czechoslovakia from 1920 to 1993. The team was controlled by the Czechoslovak Football Association, and the team qualified for eight World Cups and three European Championships. 1966 FIFA World Cup Qualification
The 1966 FIFA World Cup qualification was a series of tournaments organised by the five FIFA confederations. The 1966 FIFA World Cup featured 16 teams with one place reserved for the host nation, England, and one reserved for defending champions Brazil. The remaining 14 places were determined by a qualification process in which the other 72 entered teams, from the five FIFA confederations, competed. UEFA, CONCACAF and CONMEBOL qualification was determined within the confederations, whilst AFC and CAF teams (alongside Australia) competed for one place at the tournament. Ilie Oană
Ilie Oană (16 August 1918 – 27 April 1993) was a football player and manager who represented and coached the Romania national football team. Career Oană was born in Indiana Harbor to Romanian parents who emigrated from Transylvania before the outbreak of World War I. In 1921, his parents moved back to their homeland, settling in Sibiu after the 1918 Union of Transylvania with Romania. Oană began his football career with local side Șoimii Sibiu. He joined Petrolul Ploiești in 1937. Because he was born in the United States, he was nicknamed "Americanul" ''(The American)''. Oană made two appearances for Romania, making his debut in a friendly which ended 2–2 against Hungary in October 1939. He also played in a 0–0 against Poland at the 1948 Balkan Cup.
