A sitcom, a portmanteau of situation comedy, or situational comedy, is a genre of comedy centered on a fixed set of characters who mostly carry over from episode to episode. Sitcoms can be contrasted with sketch comedy, where a troupe may use new characters in each sketch, and stand-up comedy, where a comedian tells jokes and stories to an audience. Gerry Scotti (born Virginio Scotti on 7 August 1956) is an Italian television presenter, actor and former member of the Italian Parliament. Early years Scotti was born Virginio Scotti on 7 August 1956 in Miradolo Terme, Pavia. After giving up studying law, Scotti began his broadcasting career as a disc jockey" at Radio Milano International. In 1982, he moved to ''Radio DeeJay'' and a year later became the host of ''DeeJay Television'', the first Italian programme for music videos, broadcast by Italia 1. Delia Scala (born Odette Bedogni; 25 September 1929 – 15 January 2004) was an Italian ballerina, actress and singer who played a leading role in the nascent ''commedia musicale''. Career Scala was born as Odette Bedogni in Bracciano, Lazio, Italy. When she was a young girl, her family moved to Milan where she studied ballet at "La Scala" Ballet School for seven years. Jacopo Furio Sarno (; born September 1, 1989) is an Italian actor, voice actor and singer. Since 2013 Sarno has been known as "Jake Sarno". Enzo Garinei (4 May 1926 – 25 August 2022) was an Italian film actor. He appeared in nearly 80 films since 1949.
