Into The Deep (film)
''Into the Deep'' is a Cinema of Denmark, Danish documentary film that premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival on January 24, 2020. It was directed by Emma Sullivan and filmed in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was planned to be released on Netflix, but the release was postponed indefinitely when some participants stated that they had not given their consent to participate in the film. Before a subsequent release, Netflix, Plus Pictures and Sullivan agreed to re-edit the film to remove those participants who did not wish to appear. It was released globally on September 30, 2022. It runs for 90 minutes. Synopsis In 2016, Emma Sullivan, an Australian filmmaker began documenting amateur inventor Peter Madsen. Murder Of Kim Wall
The murder of Kim Wall, known in Denmark as (), took place on 10 August 2017, after Swedish freelance journalist Kim Wall boarded the midget submarine '' UC3 Nautilus'', in Køge Bugt, Denmark, with the intent of interviewing its owner, Danish entrepreneur Peter Madsen. Kim Isabel Fredrika Wall was reported missing after ''Nautilus'' failed to return to the harbour at Refshaleøen, Copenhagen. The submarine was found sunken the following morning and Madsen was arrested upon being rescued from the water. Between 21 August and 29 November, parts of Wall's dismembered body were found in different locations around the area. Charged with her murder, Madsen was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment on 25 April 2018 by Copenhagen City Court following a widely publicised trial. Peter Madsen
Peter Langkjær Madsen (; born 12 January 1971) is a Danish convicted murderer and former entrepreneur. In April 2018, he was convicted of the 2017 murder of Swedish journalist Kim Wall on board his submarine, ''UC3 Nautilus'', and sentenced to life imprisonment. Biography Madsen was born in 1971 to Annie and Carl Madsen. He spent his early life in Sæby and Høng (both in Kalundborg Municipality), Denmark. Annie was more than 30 years younger than Carl and had three other boys from two previous men. Carl was allegedly abusive toward his three stepsons. Annie left when Peter was six, taking the children with her. After a couple of years, Madsen returned to his father, with whom he shared an interest in rockets.
