Interstate 795 (North Carolina)
Interstate 795 (I-795) is a auxiliary Interstate Highway in the U.S. state of North Carolina. It connects the city of Goldsboro to I-95 just south of Wilson, paralleling the northern portion of U.S. Route 117 (US 117). The road runs a concurrency with US 264 and I-587 in the last section of the route. It serves as a primary freeway spur for the city of Goldsboro to the Interstate Highway system, as well part of a major cargo route for the cities of Down East North Carolina, which was a part of the impetus for its designation in 2007. I-795 began in 2007 as a renumbering of the US 117 freeway. Since oversized trucks could not use US 117, the state decided to get the road approved for Interstate designation. North Carolina Highway 403 (NC 403) is a primary state highway located in U.S. State of North Carolina. The highway travels through Sampson, Duplin, and Wayne Counties between its southern terminus at U.S. Route 701 Business (US 701 Business) in Clinton and NC 55 in Williams. U.S. Route 70 Bypass (US 70 Byp.) is a bypass route of US 70 in North Carolina that runs west of Goldsboro to La Grange. Formerly known as North Carolina Highway 44 (NC 44) from 2011 to 2016, its current designation is also only temporary as it will become part of Interstate 42 (I-42). Route description US 70 Byp. is a four-lane freeway that is in length north of Goldsboro, connecting with US 70 at both ends. An exit number is a number assigned to a road junction, usually an exit from a freeway. It is usually marked on the same sign as the destinations of the exit. In some countries, such as the United States, it is also marked on a sign in the gore. Exit numbers typically reset at political borders such as state lines. Some non-freeways use exit numbers.
