International Formula Master
International Formula Master, also known as Formula Super 2000, was a European-based junior single seater formula. The series was conceived as a competitor for Formula Three and made its debut at Valencia in 2007. European television channel Eurosport were backing the series and the series regularly supported the World Touring Car Championship during its European races. The championship started in 2005 as the 3000 Pro Series, organised by Peroni Promotion and based in Italy; it used Lola B99/50 chassis alongside 2002 cars. MTC Organisation took over for 2006 and renamed it F3000 International Masters, running a support series to the WTCC. In 2007 this series changed regulations, with N.Technology now running technical operations for MTC Organisation, and it became the International Formula Master. Norbert Siedler
Norbert Siedler (born 29 December 1982 in Wildschönau) is an Austrian racing driver. Career Siedler began his career in motorsport in karts. In 1992 he began at the age of ten years in the German Kartszene and in 1997, won the junior class. In 1999, he was an Austrian kart driver. In 2000, he moved into Formula Ford and won in Germany and Austria as well as the championship. In 2001 he drove in the German Formula Three Championship. For the team Palfinger he finished 4th place twice, including once at Hockenheim supporting the German Grand Prix. 2005 3000 Pro Series
The 2005 3000 Pro Series was the inaugural season of what later would become the International Formula Master racing series. The season consisted of eight rounds, beginning on 10 April at the ACI Vallelunga Circuit and finishing on 9 October at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza. 10 different teams and 26 different drivers competed. In this one-make formula all drivers had to utilize Lola B99/50 chassis and Zytek engines. Honda K Engine
The Honda K-series engine is a line of four-cylinder four-stroke car engine introduced in 2001. The K-series engines are equipped with DOHC valvetrains and use roller rockers on the cylinder head to reduce friction. The engines use a coil-on-plug, distributorless ignition system with a coil for each spark plug. This system forgoes the use of a conventional distributor-based ignition timing system in favor of a computer-controlled system that allows the ECU to control ignition timings based on various sensor inputs. The cylinders have cast iron sleeves similar to the B- and F-series engines, as opposed to the FRM cylinders found in the H- and newer F-series engines found only in the Honda S2000. Circuito da Boavista is a street circuit in Porto, Portugal, which was used twice for the Formula One Portuguese Grand Prix. The original course began at the harbor-front "Esplanada do Rio de Janeiro", continued on "Avenida da Boavista", (hence the circuit's name), and then twisted its way through small neighborhoods back to the start-finish line. The first Grand Prix was held in 1958, and saw an act of sportsmanship by Stirling Moss.
