Interim Morgan Government
The Interim Morgan Government of Wales was formed on 9 February 2000 by Rhodri Morgan following the resignation of Alun Michael as First Secretary, which was pre-empted by a vote of no-confidence by Plaid Cymru. Rhodri Morgan was named as Acting First Secretary on 9 February and confirmed as the permanent First Secretary on 15 February 2000. This Ministry ran until Morgan formed a coalition government with the Liberal Democrats in October 2000. This government was always viewed as temporary and Labour had mooted looking for a coalition partner following their persevered poor showing in the 1999 election. Welsh Government
The Welsh Government ( cy, Llywodraeth Cymru) is the Welsh devolution, devolved government of Wales. The government consists of ministers and Minister (government), deputy ministers, and also of a Counsel General for Wales, counsel general. Ministers only attend the Cabinet Meetings of the Welsh Government. Welsh Liberal Democrats
The Welsh Liberal Democrats ( cy, Democratiaid Rhyddfrydol Cymru) are a branch of the United Kingdom Liberal Democrats that operates in Wales. The party is led by Jane Dodds, who served as MP for Brecon and Radnorshire from August to December 2019, and MS for Mid and West Wales since May 2021. The party currently has 1 elected member in the Senedd and no Welsh seats in the UK House of Commons, but does have several members of the House of Lords. The party has around 63 local councilors serving in principal authorities. Sue Essex
Sue Essex (born 29 August 1945 in Cromford, Derbyshire) is a Welsh Labour politician who was the Member of the National Assembly for Wales for Cardiff North from 1999 to 2007. Peter Law
Peter John Law (1 April 1948 – 25 April 2006) was a Welsh politician. For most of his career Law sat as a Labour councillor and subsequently Labour Co-operative Assembly member (AM) for Blaenau Gwent. Latterly he sat as an independent member of Parliament (MP) and AM for the same constituency. Law resigned from the Labour Party in 2005. Christine Margery Gwyther (born 1959) is a Welsh Labour politician. She won the Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire constituency seat in the first National Assembly for Wales elections in1999 and held it until 2007. Dame Rosemary Janet Mair Butler (''née'' McGrath; born 21 January 1943) is a British politician who served as the Llywydd of the Senedd from 2011 to 2016.
