Inter-Disciplinary Programme In Educational Technology
The Inter-Disciplinary Programme (IDP) in Educational Technology was established by the Government of India at the campus of Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in 2010. This is primarily a research group actively involved in research and education in the area of technologies to promote the learning-teaching process. It offers Ph.D and post graduate programmes. Higher-order Thinking
Higher-order thinking, known as higher order thinking skills (HOTS), is a concept of education reform based on learning taxonomies (such as Bloom's taxonomy). Historical Thinking
Historical thinking is a set of critical literacy skills for evaluating and analyzing primary source documents to construct a meaningful account of the past. A large-scale experiment in San Francisco high schools compared traditional textbook-driven instruction to instruction focusing on the analysis of primary source documents. Divergent thinking is a thought process or method used to generate creative ideas by exploring many possible solutions. It typically occurs in a spontaneous, free-flowing, "non-linear" manner, such that many ideas are generated in an emergent cognitive fashion.
