The Institute of Mental Health, Erragadda also known as Erragadda Mental Hospital is one of the oldest health institutions established by the Nizams reign in Hyderabad State. It is run by Government of Telangana, located in Erragadda, Hyderabad. It serves the mental health patients from all over the state. History Established as ''Darul-Majanine'' meaning Mental Asylum, the hospital was started at Chanchalguda Central Jail and shifted to Jalna (Maharashtra) with 400 beds. The institute was moved to Jalna (part of Nizam dominion at the time) during 1895–1907. The name of the institution changed from ''Darul-Majanine'' to ''Hospital for Mental Diseases, Jalna''. The Government of Telangana also known as Telangana Government, is the governing authority of the state of Telangana in India. It consists of an executive, a judiciary and a legislative. The state government is headed by the Governor of Telangana as the nominal head of state, with a democratically elected Chief Minister as the real head of the executive. Erragadda is a developing commercial and residential area in the west zone of Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It is home to the ECE Industries, an electrical enterprise. Hyderabad State () was a princely state located in the south-central Deccan region of India with its capital at the city of Hyderabad.
