Inspector Palmu
Inspector Frans J. Palmu ( fi, Komisario Palmu), depicted as "a gruff detective of the Helsinki police department", is one of the most popular characters created by Finnish writer Mika Waltari (who is, however, better known outside Finland for his historical novels). The character starred in three mystery novels, all of which were filmed. His first appearance was in the 1939 novel '' Who Murdered Mrs. Skrof?'' Joel Rinne
Toivo Joel Rinne (6 June 1897, Asikkala – 3 December 1981) was a prolific Finnish actor of stage and screen. Among his most memorable film parts was the title role in the Inspector Palmu movie series, which started in 1960's ''Komisario Palmun erehdys'', and continued in three sequels. Another well-known role in Joel Rinne is in the 1970 film ''Päämaja'', directed by Matti Kassila, in which Rinne interprets in the role of Marshal Mannerheim. Joel Rinne also appeared on the radio. In the 1960's Finnish-language audio drama version of ''Gestatten, mein Name ist Cox'' ("Good Evening, My Name Is Cox"), he played the title character, the adventurer Paul Cox. Aino Elina Salo (born 9 March 1936 in Sipoo, Finland) is a Finnish film, theatre and television actress who has also done work in radio as a voice actor in children’s programming. In her career that began in 1956, Salo has appeared in over 50 films and television shows and is known for her appearances in several Aki Kaurismäki’s films. She was also the voice of Little My in the Finnish dub of ''Moomin''. Salo has received three Jussi Awards for her work. In 2010, she received the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (''Commandeur''). Old Student House, Helsinki
The Old Student House ( fi, Vanha ylioppilastalo, colloquially called ''Vanha'', "the old one"; sv, Gamla studenthuset) is the former student house of the Student Union of the University of Helsinki, located in central Helsinki, Finland, near the crossing of Aleksanterinkatu and Mannerheimintie. Description The building was designed by Axel Hampus Dalström and was completed in 1870. It represents the neo-renaissance style of architecture. The student house was originally built at the edge of the city centre, so the students' parties would not disturb other citizens. The construction was funded by a collection from the citizens.
