Innlandet (island)
Innlandet is an island in Kristiansund Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The island is the smallest of the four main islands of the town of Kristiansund (the others are Kirkelandet, Gomalandet, and Nordlandet). The island is connected to the island of Kirkelandet (to the north) by the Sørsund Bridge. The island sits east of the Bremsnesfjorden and west of the island of Nordlandet. Most of the island is urban, except for the tall hill on the eastern end of the island which is forested. The island was barely affected by the bombings during World War II, so the island is full of the characteristic old wooden buildings that were prevalent in the 1800s and early 1900s. Nordmøre
Nordmøre (English: North- Møre) is a traditional district in the Norwegian county of Møre og Romsdal. The area comprises the northern third of the county including the municipalities of Kristiansund, Averøy, Tingvoll, Surnadal, Aure, Halsa, Eide, Sunndal, Gjemnes, and Smøla. The only town in Nordmøre is Kristiansund. Of these ten municipalities, three are located (mainly) on islands: Kristiansund, Averøy, and Smøla and seven lie on the coast (including between, adjacent to, or at the end of, fjords): Tingvoll, Surnadal, Aure, Halsa, Eide, Sunndal, and Gjemnes; no municipalities are completely landlocked. Historically, the municipality of Rindal was part of the county and region, but it was transferred to Trøndelag county on 1 January 2019. Møre og Romsdal (; en, Møre and Romsdal) is a county in the northernmost part of Western Norway. It borders the counties of Trøndelag, Innlandet, and Vestland. The county administration is located in the town of Molde, while Ålesund is the largest town. Kristiansund (, ; historically spelled Christianssund and earlier named Fosna) is a municipality on the western coast of Norway in the Nordmøre district of Møre og Romsdal county. Nordlandet is an island in Kristiansund Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The island is located just east of the city center of Kristiansund, and is one of the boroughs of the city. The island is home to Kristiansund Airport, Kvernberget, which is named after the nearby tall mountain Kvernberget. This is the largest of the islands that make up the city of Kristiansund (the others being Kirkelandet, Innlandet, and Skorpa).
