Inna Makarova
Inna Vladimirovna Makarova (russian: И́нна Влади́мировна Мака́рова; 28 July 1926 – 25 March 2020) was a Soviet and Russian actress. She grew up in Novosibirsk. In 1948 she graduated from the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography in Moscow and began to work as an actress at the National Film Actors' Theatre. In 1949, she was awarded the Stalin Prize for her role as Lyubov Shevtsova in Sergei Gerasimov's '' The Young Guard''. In 1985, she was awarded the designation of People's Artist of the USSR. Inna Makarova was married to Sergei Bondarchuk and is the mother of Natalya Bondarchuk. Makarova died in Moscow on 25 March 2020 at the age of 93. The Young Guard (film)
''The Young Guard'' (russian: link=no, Молодая гвардия, translit. Molodaya Gvardiya) is a two-part 1948 Soviet film directed by Sergei Gerasimov and based on the novel of the same title by Alexander Fadeyev. In 1949 a Stalin Prize for this film was awarded to Gerasimov, cinematographer Vladimir Rapoport, and the group of leading actors. The film was also the highest grossing Soviet film of 1948, with approximately 48,600,000 tickets sold. Synopsis The film is set in July 1942 during The Great Patriotic War. Part of the Red Army leaves the mining town Krasnodon. After that, the city gets occupied by the German troops. Enemy machines destroy their path and members of the Komsomol group are forced to return home. ''The Height'' (Russian: Высота, Translit.: Vysota) is a 1957 Soviet drama film produced at Mosfilm and directed by Aleksander Zarkhi after the novel of the same name written by Evgeny Vorobyov. It stars Nikolai Rybnikov and Inna Makarova. Plot A team of steel erectors has been redeployed to a steel mill construction site in a small town. ''Dead Souls'' (russian: Мёртвые души, Myortvye dushi) is a 1984 Soviet television miniseries directed by Mikhail Schweitzer, based on Nikolai Gogol's epic poem of the same name. This story has been shared in many different interpretations. In 1930, author Mikhail Bulgakov was commissioned to write the first adaptation of this novel for the Soviet stage at the Moscow Art Theater. The 1984 miniseries was based on the 1960 film adaptation directed by Leonid Trauberg, which was inspired the Moscow Art Theater script. This story was also adapted as an opera in the 1980s as an American-Soviet production that first opened in Boston. The first cinematic interpretation of this work was directed by Pyotr Chardynin in 1909.
