Indus Sher
The Indus ( ) is a transboundary river of Asia and a trans-Himalayan river of South Asia, South and Central Asia. The river rises in mountain springs northeast of Mount Kailash in Western Tibet, flows northwest through the disputed region of Kashmir, Quote: "Kashmir, region of the northwestern Indian subcontinent. It is bounded by the Uygur Autonomous Region of Xinjiang to the northeast and the Tibet Autonomous Region to the east (both parts of China), by the Indian states of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab to the south, by Pakistan to the west, and by Afghanistan to the northwest. Indus Gorge
The Indus Gorge is formed by the Indus River as it skirts the Nanga Parbat massif, the western anchor of the Greater Himalayas, and before it debouches into the plains of Punjab, Pakistan, Punjab in Pakistan. The gorge is deep near the Nanga Parbat. The massive amounts of erosion due to the Indus River following the capture and rerouting through that area is thought to bring middle and lower crustal rocks to the surface.
