''Indonesia Now'' is a weekly programme broadcast by Metro TV, read in English language, and broadcast by television stations around the world. ''Indonesia Now'' is the first international programme from Indonesia, first aired on 1 September 2006 to explain Indonesian news or Asian news. It has been broadcasting the programme since 11 August 2007, at 7:00 a.m. WIB (every Saturday) and 1:00 p.m. WIB (every Sunday), with its host, Kania Sutisnawinata and Dalton Tanonaka. Dalton Tanonaka
Dalton Ichiro Tanonaka (born June 13, 1954) is an American television executive. He has spent most of his career in Asia, receiving several international and US. awards for his journalism work. Tanonaka is also known for his community service, providing scholarships to deserving students and speaking at schools and universities. Early life and education Tanonaka was born in, Kohala, Hawaii, not far from the original statue of King Kamehameha I. He was raised in Honolulu on the island of Oahu, attending public schools through his graduation from Kalani High School, where he played football and soccer. Surya Citra Televisi (SCTV) is an Indonesian free-to-air television network. It was launched on 24 August 1990 in Surabaya, East Java as Surabaya Centra Televisi, broadcasting to the city and its surrounding area. At first, the programming was similar to that of RCTI, broadcasting foreign shows and some of RCTI news programs until they could produce their own. On 30 January 1993, SCTV obtained a national license and eventually moved its operations to Jakarta, changing its name to Surya Citra Televisi. The Indonesian Archipelago geographically stretches across four time zones from UTC+06:00 in Aceh to UTC+09:00 in Papua.
