Club Sportivo Independiente Rivadavia (mostly known simply as Independiente Rivadavia) is a football club from Mendoza, Argentina. The team currently plays in Primera B Nacional, the second major league in Argentine Football league system. Independiente Rivadavia played in the Argentine Primera in 1968, 1973, 1977, 1979–80 and 1982, when the team reached the quarter-finals of the National Championship. That year Independiente was eliminated in the play-offs by the team that would later reach the Championship, Ferro Carril Oeste. Roque Raúl Alfaro (born 15 August 1956 in Nogoyá, Entre Ríos) is an Argentine football manager and former player who played as a striker. Playing career Alfaro started his professional career with Newell's Old Boys in the mid 1970s. In 1981, he was signed by Panathinaikos FC in Greece, and he played under the greek surname Bistakis. He returned to South America later that year to play for América de Cali in Colombia where he won two league championships. Darío Luis Felman (born 25 October 1951) is a retired Argentine football striker who won the Copa Libertadores and Intercontinental Cup with Boca Juniors in 1977. Club career Felman started his career at Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mendoza in 1970 and is considered to have been one of the best footballers ever to play for the club. In 1974, he joined Independiente Rivadavia. In 1975, he joined Boca Juniors and in 1976 he was part of the team that won back to back championships. Juan Carlos Murúa is a former Argentine football player and manager who played in the Copa América 1959. Murúa was primarily associated with the Greater Buenos Aires team Racing Club de Avellaneda, where he was part of the championship winning team of 1958.
