Independence Cup (Albania)
The Independence Cup ( sq, Kupa Pavarësia) is an annual friendly football tournament held in Albania on 28 November to commemorate Albanian Independence Day. The tournament took place in Vlorë between 2009 and 2015, in Tiranë in 2016 and in Korçë in 2017. Clubs from Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia and Montenegro have taken part in the tournament. The Balkans ( ), also known as the Balkan Peninsula, is a geographical area in southeastern Europe with various geographical and historical definitions. The region takes its name from the Balkan Mountains that stretch throughout the whole of Bulgaria. FK Renova
KF Renova ( mk, ФК Ренова) is a Association football, football club based in the village of Džepčište, Tetovo Municipality, North Macedonia. They recently competed in the Macedonian First League. History FK Renova was founded in 2003 but was derived from the football school established in 2000. As a result of successful work in 2003, the people from Džepčište began to invest in this school of football. Since then, the football school was named Renova, after the Džepčište based manufacturing company, which invested the most to the club. Renova then merged with the Tetovo club FK Shkumbini and was initiated into the Macedonian Third League. In the club's first season, they came first in the league. To achieve promotion into the second league, Renova had to beat Vardar from Negotino. Renova won the game via penalty shootout. Futboll Klub Kukësi is an Albanian professional football club based in the city of Kukës. The club plays its home games at the Zeqir Ymeri Stadium and they currently compete in the Kategoria Superiore, the highest tier of Albanian football. The club played in the lower divisions for much of its history since 1930, prior to their 2012 promotion to Kategoria Superiore, where they have finished as runners up in three of the four top flight campaigns they have had. KF Partizani B is the B team of Albanian football club Partizani. History Partizani reserves (1948–1949) On 3 October 1948, the Albanian Football Association launched a new format for the Albanian Superliga and Albanian First Division as they adopted the western format of an autumn to spring league competition. A reserve team representing Partizani Tirana was created following this announcement, and they competed in 1948–49 Albanian First Division, where they won their first 5 games in a row before the competition was cancelled on 31 March 1949 by the Albanian Football Association due to Soviet pressure to leave the western format and return to the Soviet league format. Penalty Shootout (football)
A penalty shoot-out (officially kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method in association football to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as extra time (if used) have expired. In a penalty shoot-out, each team takes turns shooting at goal from the penalty mark, with the goal defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. Each team has five shots which must be taken by different kickers; the team that makes more successful kicks is declared the victor. Shoot-outs finish as soon as one team has an insurmountable lead. If scores are level after five pairs of shots, the shootout progresses into additional " sudden-death" rounds. Balls successfully kicked into the goal during a shoot-out do not count as goals for the individual kickers or the team, and are tallied separately from the goals scored during normal play (including extra time, if any).
