Impulse (1974 Film)
''Impulse'' is a 1974 American horror thriller film, starring William Shatner as a serial killer of wealthy widows. Ruth Roman, Kim Nicholas, Jennifer Bishop and Harold Sakata co-star. It was written by Tony Crechales and directed by William Grefé. The film was first released in Tampa, Florida, on January 31, 1974, where the filming took place. It was subsequently released nationwide in 1974–75, making nearly $4 million in the domestic box office. William Grefé
William Grefé (born 1930) is an American writer and director of films, best known for his work in the exploitation field. For most of his career he has worked in Florida. He also worked for a number of years with Ivan Tors. In 2009 a documentary was released about his work called ''From the Swamp: The Films of William Grefe''. In 2020 a four-disc Blu-ray collection ''He Came from the Swamp: The William Grefé Collection'' will be released by Arrow Video. Prolapse (band)
Prolapse were an English indie rock band formed in Leicester, England, originally active from to 2000. The group's sound was a mixture of punk rock, krautrock and shoegazing styles. The band's sound was also characterised by the alternating, contrasting vocal styles of Linda Steelyard and Mick Derrick. History Formation Prolapse formed in the summer of 1991 at Leicester Polytechnic's Friday night disco, "with the aim of being the most depressing band ever". Of the six members—vocalists Mick Derrick and Linda Steelyard, guitarists David Jeffreys and Patrick Marsden, bassist Mick Harrison, and drummer Tim Pattison—only Harrison and Pattison had performed together. In a 1999 interview, Steelyard stated that the name was chosen "to indicate something undesirable in a miserable sort of way, rather than unsavoury.
