Immortal (2015 Film)
''Immortal'' ( translit. ''Mamiro'') is a 2015 Iranian film directed by Seyed Hadi Mohaghegh. The second feature film by Mohaghegh, it tells the story of an old man who tries to end his life repeatedly from guilt over the loss of his family in a tragic accident. World premiered at the 20th Busan International Film Festival in 2015 and described by the jury Sylvia Chang as "an extraordinary feat of visual storytelling, filled with emotion," it won the top prize for the New Currents competition section, as well as the FIPRESCI award. Plot Ayaz is filled with grief and guilt over the loss of his family. A few years ago, when returning from a wedding party, he was driving the mini-bus that killed all his family. Seyed Hadi Mohaghegh ( fa, سید هادی محقق; born 1979) is an Iranian film director and screenwriter. Career Born in Dehdasht, Iran, in 1979, Mohaghegh studied Automobile Mechanics. He began his artistic career in 1990 as a theatre actor and director, and in 2000 for television as an actor, designer and assistant director. In 2010, he started making films for television. In 2013, he made his first feature film ''Bardou'' which won Best Film, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay at the 2013 Isfahan IFF for Children and Young Adults. Luri Language
Luri ( lrc, لٛۏری, Łôrī, luz, لُرِی, Lorī) is a Southwestern Iranian language continuum spoken by the Lur people, an Iranian people native to Western Asia. The Luri dialects are descended from Middle Persian and are Central Luri, Bakhtiari,G. R. Fazel, 'Lur', in Muslim Peoples: A World Ethnographic Survey, ed. R. V. Sylvia Chang
Sylvia Chang (born 21 July 1953) is a Taiwanese actress, writer, singer, producer and director. In 1992, she was a member of the jury at the 42nd Berlin International Film Festival. In 2018, she was one of the jury members of the main competition section at the 75th Venice International Film Festival. Early life Chang was born in Chiayi, Taiwan. She dropped out of school when she was 16, and started her career as a radio DJ. When she was 18 years old she acted in her first film. The Pune International Film Festival (also known as PIFF) is an annual film festival held in Pune, a city in Maharashtra, India.
