Majid Barzegar
Majid Barzegar ( fa, مجید برزگر; born March 6, 1973 in Hamedan) is an Iranian film director, producer, screenwriter, and photographer. He established his own film company Rainy pictures in 2005 with the aim of stimulating the independent film production in Iran. Biography Since 1990, the critically acclaimed Iranian filmmaker and producer, Majid Barzegar has been involved in the production of many independent short and feature films. Most of these films have been showcased at various international film festivals including Berlinale, San Sebastian Film Festival, Rotterdam Film Festival, São Paulo Film Festival and Thessaloniki Film Festival, besides many others. Hamedan
Hamadan () or Hamedan ( fa, همدان, ''Hamedān'') (Old Persian: Haŋgmetana, Ecbatana) is the capital city of Hamadan Province of Iran. At the 2019 census, its population was 783,300 in 230,775 families. The majority of people living in Hamadan identify as ethnic Persians. Hamedan is believed to be among the oldest Iranian cities. It is possible that it was occupied by the Assyrians in 1100 BCE; the Ancient Greek historian, Herodotus, states that it was the capital of the Medes, around 700 BCE. Hamedan has a green mountainous area in the foothills of the 3,574-meter Alvand Mountain, in the midwest part of Iran. The city is 1,850 meters above sea level. The highly cultural nature of this old city and its historic sites attract tourists during the summer to this city, located approximately southwest of Tehran. Seyed Hadi Mohaghegh ( fa, سید هادی محقق; born 1979) is an Iranian film director and screenwriter. Career Born in Dehdasht, Iran, in 1979, Mohaghegh studied Automobile Mechanics. He began his artistic career in 1990 as a theatre actor and director, and in 2000 for television as an actor, designer and assistant director. In 2010, he started making films for television. In 2013, he made his first feature film ''Bardou'' which won Best Film, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay at the 2013 Isfahan IFF for Children and Young Adults.
