Imani McGee-Stafford
Imani Trishawn McGee-Stafford (born October 11, 1994) is an American professional basketball player. She played college basketball for University of Texas at Austin. Pamela Denise McGee (born December 1, 1962) is an American former professional women's basketball player, 2012 Women's Basketball Hall of Famer, and mother of two professional basketball players. She is the first WNBA mom to have a son and daughter drafted in the NBA and the WNBA. She is the only Olympic Gold Medalist to give birth to an Olympian in basketball. The 2016 WNBA Playoffs is the postseason tournament of the WNBA's 2016 season. Format The WNBA changed its playoff format in 2016. Following the WNBA regular season, eight teams in the entire league qualified for the playoffs and were seeded one to eight. Regular season records determined the seedings of the teams. The team with the best record received seed one, the team with the next best record received seed two, and so on. The top two seeds get double byes, while the next two seeds get first-round byes. These seedings were used to create a bracket that determines the match-ups throughout the playoffs. The first round of the playoffs consisted of two match-ups based on the seedings (5-8 and 6-7). 2017 Atlanta Dream Season
The 2017 WNBA season was the 10th season for the Atlanta Dream of the Women's National Basketball Association. The team began its season on May 21, 2017 against the Chicago Sky, in its new interim home of McCamish Pavilion on the Georgia Tech campus. The Dream had a strong start to the season posting a 4–1 record in May. However, the team finished 1–6 in June, falling under .500. 2017 Chicago Sky Season
The 2017 Chicago Sky season was the franchise's 12th season in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). The Sky started the season slowly, posting a 1–5 record in May. This slow start continued into June where the team only won 2 of 9 games. The team showed improvement in July and August, posting a combined record of 9–8 in those months. An 0–2 September saw the Sky finish with an overall record of 12–22. The Sky finished in 4th place in the Eastern Conference, ahead of the Atlanta Dream via tiebreaker. 2019–20 WNBL Season
The 2019–20 WNBL season is the 40th season of the competition since its establishment in 1981.
