Illogic
Jawhar Glass (born January 18, 1980), better known by his stage name Illogic, is an American indie hip hop artist from Columbus, Ohio.Mills, BradIllogic Biography, Allmusic, retrieved 2011-06-05 He has collaborated with many artists—particularly Blueprint, who has produced three of his albums, but also Aesop Rock, Vast Aire, Eyedea, Copywrite, Slug, and other MCs. History Illogic began his career in freestyle battles and became the Columbus champion in 1997. He released his first four albums with Weightless Recordings which established himself as a forerunner of the indie rap boom. ''Celestial Clockwork'' is the third solo studio album by American rapper Illogic. It was released by Weightless Recordings on April 13, 2004. The production is entirely handled by Blueprint. It features vocal contributions from Aesop Rock, Vast Aire, Slug, and Blueprint. Blueprint (rapper)
Albert Shepard, (born July 11, 1974), better known by his stage name Blueprint, is an American rapper from Columbus, Ohio. He is a founder of Weightless Recordings. Blueprint is one half of the duo Soul Position along with producer RJD2. He is also a member of the rap group Greenhouse (music group), Greenhouse (formerly known as Greenhouse Effect), which currently consists of himself and Illogic. The duo also run a podcast "Super Duty Tough Work" which airs on Youtube, Soundcloud, and other platforms. Life and career Blueprint first gained underground attention as a member of the crew Greenhouse Effect (music group), Greenhouse Effect. Aside from his solo efforts released on the Ninja Tune label, he is most associated with producing tracks for Aesop Rock. He has been a member of the groups such as Party Fun Action Committee and The Mighty Jones. Biography Simon was born and raised in Downtown Manhattan. He is the son of the late Sidney Simon, a well-known sculptor in New York City, and Renee Adriance, a social worker. He has one brother and five half siblings. Micheal David Larsen (November 9, 1981 – October 16, 2010), better known by his stage name Eyedea, was an American musician, rapper, and poet. He was a freestyle battle champion and songwriter from Saint Paul, Minnesota. Larsen had appeared as a solo artist under the pseudonym Oliver Hart, and as the MC half of the duo Eyedea & Abilities (along with longtime friend and collaborator DJ Abilities).
