Garbology (album)
''Garbology'' is a collaborative studio album by rapper Aesop Rock and producer Blockhead. It was released through Rhymesayers Entertainment on November 12, 2021. The album was preceded by one single, "Jazz Hands", which was released on October 13, 2021, alongside a music video directed by Rob Shaw. Background Prior to this album, Aesop Rock and Blockhead had been longtime collaborators; Blockhead had contributed production to each of Aesop's first five albums, and Aesop had provided vocals on several of Blockhead's solo tracks. However, before the two artists started work on this album, they had never collaborated on a full-length project together. The artists began working in this album in early 2020, as Aesop was processing the death of a close friend, the skateboarder Kurt Hayashi. This origin influenced the title of the album: Aesop has stated that he sees parallels between the field of garbology and the idea of "picking up the pieces after a loss or period of intense unrest ...

''Capture the Sun'' is a collaborative studio album by American rapper Illogic and American hip hop producer Blockhead. It was released on Man Bites Dog Records on April 16, 2013. Critical reception Chaz Kangas of ''Spectrum Culture'' wrote, "Blockhead's production is layered, textured and tailor made for Illogic's mood, and Illogic knows how to accentuate the environment Blockhead's planted him in by weaving his flow through his rhyme choices like a lantern through the deep woods." Interludes After Midnight
''Interludes After Midnight'' is the fifth solo studio album by American hip hop producer Blockhead. It was released on Ninja Tune on April 30, 2012. Critical reception Aaron Matthews of ''Exclaim!'' described the album as "a bleary descent into the darker hours of night, evoking dollar cabs, cheap pizza and half-emptied 40 oz. bottles." D. M. Collins of ''L.A. Record'' called it "an album that follows through on the promise of hip hop and breakbeat that rarely gets fulfilled: full sample immersion that leaves its sources big and bold yet fully, delightfully rearranged, a true collage braided together lovingly with original combinations of boxy beats and tinkling treble tones." Roman Cooper of ''HipHopDX'' wrote, "While other producers release 'instrumental albums' that are little more than beat tapes, Blockhead provides a soundtrack for the listener's thoughts, regardless of how actively engaged they are."
