Verdena are an Italian Rock music, rock band originating in Albino, Italy, Albino, Bergamo. As of February 2015, they have released six full-length albums under Universal Music Group. History Origins The group formed in 1995 with the two brothers Alberto (guitarist) and Luca Ferrari (drummer). In 1996, after various bass players coming and going, met Roberta Sammarelli (bassist), who at the time was playing guitar for a female punk group in Bergamo, the Porno Nuns, with who Alberto knew for some time. The same year, they recorded and released their first demo ''Froll sound'', with lyrics almost entirely in English with influences by Nirvana (band), Nirvana. The group initially decided to call themselves "Verbena," the name of Verbena, a plant (Alberto yells it in ''Nella schiuma'', a song from their second demo tape), but changed to Verdena after finding out Verbena (band), a group in the United States already had that name. Grunge (sometimes referred to as the Seattle sound) is an alternative rock genre and subculture that emerged during the in the American Pacific Northwest state of Washington, particularly in Seattle and nearby towns. Grunge fuses elements of punk rock and heavy metal, but without punk's structure and speed. Neo-psychedelia
Neo-psychedelia is a diverse genre of psychedelic music that draws inspiration from the sounds of 1960s psychedelia, either updating or copying the approaches from that era. Blackout! Records is an independent record label which specializes in hardcore punk. It was formed in 1988 by Bill Wilson and Jim Gibson.
