Iko (band)
Iko were an English rock band from Exeter, Devon, England. Formed in 2005 the band consists of Kieran Scragg (lead vocals and guitar), Neil Reed (keyboards), Rob Maxwell (drums), Darren Harvey-Regan (bass guitar), and Beth Porter (cello). Scragg and Reed had been members of the just disbanded indie-rock band Buffseeds signed to Fantastic Plastic Records. Exeter
Exeter () is a city in Devon, South West England. It is situated on the River Exe, approximately northeast of Plymouth and southwest of Bristol. Buffseeds
The Buffseeds were an English indie pop band formed in Exeter, Devon, England, in 1999, consisting of Kieran Scragg on lead vocals and guitar, with Joel Scragg on bass, Ella Lewis on drums and Neil Reed on keyboards. They were active between 1999 and 2004. They are best known for "Sparkle Me", which featured in the ABC series ''Grey's Anatomy'', Season 1, episode 5 - "Shake Your Groove Thing". They released their one and only album, ''The Picture Show'' on 3 March 2003, playing at the Glastonbury Festival that same year. Fantastic Plastic Records
Fantastic Plastic Records is an independent record label based in London and Brighton. Fantastic Plastic was formed by lifelong music fan Darrin Robson in a Co. Down attic. Originally specialising in mail-order only rare and collectible records, it soon grew into the opening of two independent local record shops before making the move to release the label's debut vinyl EP by Cork's finest The Sultans Of Ping FC in 1991. Further releases soon followed by bands such as Television Personalities, The Blue Aeroplanes and Ash before the label relocated to London going on to work with bands such as Ikara Colt, Guillemots and The Futureheads.
