''Ikakogi'' is a genus of frogs in the family Centrolenidae. It has been tentatively placed in the subfamily Centroleninae, although more recent analyses suggest that it is the sister group of the clade Centroleninae+ Hyalinobatrachiinae. Ikakogi Ispacue
''Ikakogi ispacue'' is a species of amphibian in the Centrolenidae family, which can only be found in the northern Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, in the department of Guajira, Colombia. It inhabits subtropical forests and is usually seen over vegetation and near streams. Adult males measure between 28.7 and 30.2 millimeters, and females between 29.5 and 30.6 millimeters. Their back is green and dotted with small black dots, while half of their belly is transparent and the other half is cream. They have a small line of white dots on the side of the body. Their eyes are large and dorsal, their snout is rounded, and their tympanum is not visible. They are morphologically identical to the Ikakogi tayrona, and can only be distinguished by genetic or bioacoustic analysis, or by the internal morphology of their tadpoles. Ikakogi Tayrona
''Ikakogi tayrona'', or the Magdalena giant glass frog, is a species of frog in the family Centrolenidae. It is Endemism, endemic to the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Magdalena Department, Colombia. It is the only glass frog that is known to show maternal care (in other glass frogs parental care is provided by males, if at all). Description Males measure and females in snout–vent length. The head is large and wide with snout that is rounded when viewed dorsally but sloped and truncated when viewed laterally. The color is green to pale green, and dorsal skin is granular. Centroleninae
Centroleninae is one of two subfamilies of the family Centrolenidae. It has nine genera distributed in Central America from Honduras south and east to northern and central South America. As of mid 2015, it contains 117 species. Taxonomy Centroleninae are defined based on molecular and morphological characteristics, none of which are obvious to a naked eye. However, in several species a fighting behaviour that might be synapomorphy has been observed: males dangle by their feet and grapple venter-to-venter; amplexus-like or wrestling on leaves fighting of Hyalinobatrachinae is hypothesized to be primitive behaviour. The glass frogs belong to the amphibian family Centrolenidae ( order Anura). While the general background coloration of most glass frogs is primarily lime green, the abdominal skin of some members of this family is transparent and translucent, giving the glass frog its common name. The internal viscera, including the heart, liver, and gastrointestinal tract, are visible through the skin. When active their blood makes them visible; when sleeping most of the blood is concealed in the liver, hiding them.
