Igatpuri Railway Station
Igatpuri railway station serves Igatpuri in Nashik district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It stands at the head of Thal Ghat. It is a loco change-over point for trains moving out of Mumbai as well as trains entering Mumbai. The trains moving out of Mumbai usually change their locomotives to WAP-4 or WAP-7 or WAM-4 as the case may be. The trains entering Mumbai usually change their locomotives to WCAM-3. The station is famous for its Wada Pav and Idli. History The first train in India travelled from Mumbai to on 16 April 1853. Bhusawal–Kalyan Section
The Bhusawal–Kalyan section is part of the Howrah–Nagpur–Mumbai line and Howrah–Allahabad–Mumbai line. It connects Bhusawal and Kalyan both in the Indian state of Maharashtra. One of the branch lines, Jalgaon–Surat line, runs partly in Gujarat. The Indian locomotive class WCAM–3 is a class of dual-power AC/DC series electric locomotives That was developed in 1997 by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited used in the Indian Railways system. They are the third locomotives from the WCAM class. The model name stands for broad gauge (W), DC Current (C), AC Current (A), Mixed traffic (M) locomotive, 3rd generation (3). Bhusawal railway division is one of the five railway divisions of the Central Railway (India) zone of Indian Railways, located at Bhusawal in the Jalgaon district of Maharashtra state in western India. The 12859 / 12860 ''Gitanjali Express'' is a daily train running between two metro cities, Kolkata, () in West Bengal and Mumbai, (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus) in Maharashtra connecting the East with the West. The Indian locomotive class WAM-4 is a class of 25 kV AC electric locomotives that was developed in 1970 by Chittaranjan Locomotive Works for Indian Railways. The model name stands for broad gauge (W), alternating current (A), mixed traffic (M) engine, 4th generation (4). They entered service in March 1971. A total of 500 WAM-4 were built at CLW between 1970 and 1983, which made them the most numerous class of mainline electric locomotive till its successor the WAG-5. The WAM-4 is one of the most successful locomotives of Indian Railways having served both passenger and freight trains for over 52 years.
