Ahmad Johnie Zawawi
Ahmad Johnie bin Zawawi (born 1963) is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Igan since May 2018. He is also the non-executive Chairman of Indah Water since 2020. He is a member of the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB), a component party of the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) and formerly Barisan Nasional (BN) coalitions. Early career Johnie was born in Daro and obtained a bachelor's degree in political science from National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 1986. He used to work at the Royal Malaysian Customs Department from 1988 to 2000 before becoming the Chief Operating Officer of The Sarawak Press and Warta Distributions (2000-2004), as well as WHS Holdings (2004-2015). This is a list of the members of the Dewan Rakyat (House of Representatives) of the 13th Parliament of Malaysia. The opposition coalition Pakatan Rakyat that contested the general elections in 2013 was dissolved after series of disagreements between two main parties, Democratic Action Party (DAP) and Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS). Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB; en, United Bumiputera Heritage Party) is a right-wing political party in Malaysia. It is currently the largest political party in Sarawak. Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu was formed from the combination of three parties in Sarawak; Parti Negara Sarawak, Barisan Rakyat Jati Sarawak and Parti Pesaka Anak Sarawak. The National Front ( ms, Barisan Nasional; abbrev: BN) is a political coalition of Malaysia that was founded in 1973 as a coalition of centre-right and right-wing political parties. The 12th Malaysian Parliament is the last meeting of the legislative branch of the government of Malaysia, the Parliament, comprising the directly elected lower house, the ''Dewan Rakyat'', and the appointed upper house, the ''Dewan Negara''.
