Wahab Dolah
Wahab Bin Dolah (born 15 November 1950) is a Malaysian politician. He was the Member of the Parliament of Malaysia for the Igan constituency in Sarawak, representing the United Traditional Bumiputera Party (PBB) in the ruling Barisan Nasional coalition. Early life, education and career Wahab Dolah was born on 15 November 1950 at Kampung Tian,Matu, Sarawak. Wahab Dolah has Nine siblings namely Rapiah, Jemani, Jamilah, Telaman, Ali mat, Mariam, Nasibah and Sa'id. Wahab undertook his early schooling at Sekolah Kebangsaan(SK) Bawang Tian, Matu before furthering his study at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan(SMK) Sibu Rural, SMK Penghulu Kedit, Kanowit and Kolej Tun Datuk Tuanku Haji Bujang at Tanjung Lobang, Miri. The Malay language has a complex system of styles, titles and honorifics which are used extensively in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the southern Philippines. New Straits Times
The ''New Straits Times'' is an English-language newspaper published in Malaysia. It is Malaysia's oldest newspaper still in print (though not the first), having been founded as ''The Straits Times'' on 15 July 1845. It was relaunched as the ''New Straits Times'' on 13 August 1974. The paper served as Malaysia's only broadsheet format English-language newspaper. However, following the example of British newspapers ''The Times'' and ''The Independent'', a tabloid version first rolled off the presses on 1 September 2004 and since 18 April 2005, the newspaper has been published only in tabloid size, ending a 160-year-old tradition of broadsheet publication. The Election Commission of Malaysia ( ms, Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya Malaysia), abbreviated SPR or EC, is a commission set up for ensuring fair and equitable operations in undertaking the elections in Malaysia. Its establishment is mandated by executive order of the former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad. The agency falls under the purview of the Prime Minister's Department. The Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS; ms, Parti Islam Se-Malaysia; ms, ڤرتي إسلام سمليسيا, label=Jawi alphabet, Jawi, script=arab, italic=unset) is an Islamist political party in Malaysia. 2008 Malaysian General Election
A general election was held on Saturday, 8 March 2008 for members of the 12th Parliament of Malaysia. Voting took place in all 222 parliamentary constituencies of Malaysia, each electing one Member of Parliament to the Dewan Rakyat, the dominant house of Parliament. State elections also took place in 505 state constituencies in 12 out of 13 states (excluding Sarawak) on the same day. The 11th Parliament was dissolved on 13 February 2008, and the following day, the Election Commission announced nominations would be held on 24 February, with general polling set for 8 March.
