''If I Could Tell You'' is the tenth studio album by Greek keyboardist and composer Yanni, released in October 2000 by Virgin Records. Background In July 1998, Yanni completed his 1997–1998 world tour, staged in support of his 1997 live album ''Tribute''. The tour's schedule left Yanni exhausted and marked a period of decline in his life and career, stemmed by his separation from a decade-long relationship with actress Linda Evans and the depression that followed. Linda Evans (born Linda Evenstad; November 18, 1942) is an American actress known primarily for her roles on television. In the 1960s she played Audra Barkley, the daughter of Victoria Barkley (played by Barbara Stanwyck) in the Western television series '' The Big Valley'' (1965–1969). It was recorded at the Taj Mahal, India in March 1997 and the Forbidden City, China, in May 1997, both featuring Yanni performing with a seven-piece band, choir, and 27-piece orchestra.
