Ienne Biemans
Ienne Biemans (born 15 August 1944) is a Dutch author of children's literature and children's poems. Career In 1989, Biemans won the Nienke van Hichtum-prijs for her book ''Lang zul je leven''. She also won a Vlag en Wimpel award that year for this book. In 1990, she won the Zilveren Griffel for her book ''Ik was de zee''. In 2013, she also won a Vlag en Wimpel award for her book ''Waar was Hans?''. Biemans' books have been illustrated by various illustrators, including Margriet Heymans and Mance Post. Biemans also translated several books into Dutch, including the book ''Der Mann im Jasmin'' (1971) by Unica Zürn and ''Der gefrorene Prinz'' (1997) by Christine Nöstlinger. The Nienke van Hichtum-prijs (Dutch for Nienke van Hichtum Prize) is a biennial Dutch literary award for children's literature awarded by the Jan Campert-Stichting. The award is named after children's author Nienke van Hichtum and was first awarded in 1964. Annet Schaap with her book ''Lampje'' is the first author to have received this award with a debut novel. Harrie Geelen
Harrie Geelen (born 10 January 1939, in Heerlen) is a Dutch illustrator, film director, animator, translator, writer and poet. In 2014, he was made a knight in the Order of the Dutch Lion ("Ridder in de orde van de Nederlandse Leeuw"). He studied Dutch in Amsterdam, where he met his wife Imme Dros, like himself a writer of Dutch children's literature. Geelen wrote several well known television children's programs and translated Disney movies into Dutch. He illustrated his own books and those of his wife Imme Dros, some books by Annie M. G. Schmidt and a book by Toon Tellegen. He published the novel "Het Nijlpaard Ellende" and short stories like "Ooms en Tantes, Tantes en Ooms". For the movie "Pinkeltje" he was the director, designer as well as the scriptwriter. Other work include feature films and a large TV series ("de Sommeltjes") with the use of simple computers. Jan Jutte
Jan Jutte (born 1 October 1953) is a Dutch illustrator of children's literature. He received the Gouden Penseel award several times for his work. Career Jutte made his debut as illustrator in 1983 with his illustrations in Annie M. G. Schmidt's book ''Het Beertje Pippeloentje''. In the years that followed Jutte illustrated the books of various Dutch authors, including Toon Tellegen, Guus Kuijer, Edward van de Vendel, Bibi Dumon Tak, Ienne Biemans and Doeschka Meijsing. Veronica Hazelhoff
Veronica Hazelhoff (22 February 1947 – 1 July 2009) was a Dutch author of children's literature. Career Hazelhoff made her debut in 1981 with the book ''Nou moe!'' She won the Gouden Ezelsoor award as well as the Zilveren Griffel award for this book. Hazelhoff's first three books, ''Nou moe!'' (1981), ''Hierzo!'' (1982) and ''Auww!'' (1983), feature the same character, a young girl called Maartje. Hazelhoff received an award for two out of these three books as Hazelhoff won the Gouden Griffel award in 1984 for the book ''Auww!''
