Idool (TV Series)
Idool is the Belgian version of the Idol series. The series was launched in late 2002 by Belgian television network vtm. The contestants are first narrowed down to 100 contestants, and then down to 30-50 through several auditions and tests by a panel of judges. From this point on, the viewers decide who are in and who are out, and the judges limit themselves to commenting. TV viewers being what they are, the votes are based not solely on the singer's vocal performance, but also on his or her looks, clothes, entertainment value, and other factors. In difference to the versions from other countries of the franchise, several contestants achieved on-going success in the local music industry, most notably Natalia Druyts, runner-up from season one, who managed to sell over 400,000 albums, and over 1 million concert tickets between 2003 and 2010 in Flanders; and Hadise Açıkgöz, who did not even make the top 10 in Season 1 but nevertheless became a career musician who represented Turke ...

3M8S (pronounced Three mates) was a Flemish Belgian boyband in the early 2010s made up of Dean Delannoit, Kevin Kayirangwa and Dennis De Neyer, all former contestants on Belgian '' Idool''. The band was formed in May 2012 when the three members decided to join forces in a band with each one also continuing their solo careers whenever possible. The band usually sings English language. The name was chosen on the basis of a competition by the youth magazine ''JOEPIE''. The band has been relatively successful and took part in the preliminary rounds for preliminary rounds of "Eurosong 2014" to try to represent Belgium in 2014 Eurovision Song Contest, and was eliminated in the early rounds of the selection. Kevin Kayirangwa
Kevin Kayirangwa (born 11 February 1991) also known as Kevin or Kevin K, is the winner of '' Idool 2011'', in season 4 of the Belgian version of '' Pop Idol''. His first album, ''Thank You'', on Sony BMG released in 2011, reached No. 2 in the Ultratop Belgian Flemish Singles Charts. In May 2012, he joined Dennis De Neyer, a co-contestant of Kevin in the same series and Dean Delannoit, an '' Idool 2007'' season 3 winner to form the Belgian Flemish boyband 3M8S. Dean Delannoit (born 27 January 1989) most known by the mononym Dean is the winner of ''Idool 2007'', in season 3 of the Belgian version of ''Pop Idol''. ''Big Brother'' is the Belgian version of the international reality television franchise ''Big Brother'' produced by Endemol. The Eurovision Song Contest 2007 was the 52nd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. Danzel (born Johan Waem, 9 November 1976) is a Belgian musician, best known for his 2004 single "Pump It Up!" which reached the top 10 across Europe, including in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Romania and Switzerland. Udo Mechels, born in Brussels on 10 May 1976, is a Belgian singer commonly known simply as Udo. He won the first season of the Belgian version of ''The X Factor'' in 2005.
