Idols South Africa Season 7
''Idols South Africa VII'' was the seventh season of South African reality interactive talent show based on the British talent show Pop Idol. It premiered on 5 June 2011. The judges returned with the addition of Unathi Msengana in the place of Mara Louw and were supported by a guest judge in every casting city. After the auditions, call backs were held in Sun City for the golden ticket holders. After the theater, group and special guest The Parlotones rounds the final number of contestants were brought down to 16. Regional auditions Auditions began February 2011, and were held in the following cities: Wooden Mic Every season the worst auditions voted for by the viewers to be part of their own Top 10 for the Wooden Mic trophy. Dave Van Vuuren
Dave van Vuuren (born 1990, Westville, Durban, South Africa) is a South African singer-songwriter and guitarist. He first gained popularity through winning the seventh season of ''Idols South Africa'' after a close public vote in the finale held on 4 October 2011, with Van Vuuren getting 50.49% of the votes, against 49.51% for the other finalist and eventual runner-up Mark Haze. He was the first series winner who came back after landing in the bottom 3 in earlier performance. Before ''Idols'' David fronted a South African underground Metal-Core band called Freedom for Your Life. Hilton is a small town that lies near the city of Pietemaritzburg in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. In 1872 the Reverend William Orde Newnham opened Hilton College on a large estate 7.8km north of thtown which is now one of South Africa's leading private schools. History The woman who named Hilton was Jane Henderson, her husband Joseph Henderson (1825–1899): merchant, banker, financier and politician. He married Jane Maidstone née Pearson on the 13th Aug 1849 in Pietermaritzburg and accompanied Theophilus Shepstone as adviser to the Transvaal in 1877. Roodepoort is a town in the Gauteng province of South Africa. Jabulani Tsambo (14 September 1980 – 24 October 2018), better known by his stage name Hip Hop Pantsula, later shortened to HHP, was a South African Motswako rapper (Motswakolista) who performed in several languages, mostly in Setswana.
