Idol 2008 (Sweden)
The fifth season of ''Swedish Idol'' premiered on 3 September 2008 and continued until its grand finale on 12 December, when 22-year-old Kevin Borg was crowned winner. It was the first season to feature new judges Laila Bagge, Anders Bagge and Andreas Carlsson, a move that made it the first ''Idol'' series in the world to completely replace its judging panel. The series took advantage of guest judges including Charlotte Perrelli, Desmond Child and Cyndi Lauper, and the final 3 results show featured a performance by Leona Lewis, who sang " Forgive Me". For the second year running, the grand finale was held in Stockholm's Globen Arena with a live audience of 16,000 people, where operatic group Il Divo also sang live. Season 5 of ''Swedish Idol'' marked only the second time in worldwide'' Idol'' history where neither of the final two contestants were born in the show's home country. Katrin Zytomierska (born 17 September 1977) is a Swedish blogger, columnist, television host, and businesswoman. She was born to a Polish-Catholic mother and a Polish-Jewish father. She is the founder and president of KZ Clean Eating and the public relations company Pure PR. . In late 2008, she hosted (together with Peter Jihde) the TV400 program ''Idol: Eftersnack'', a weekly sister program to ''Idol 2008'' that featured interviews with the contestants and the jury. Zytomierska was heavily criticized in the Swedish media for making negative comments towards the contestants, such as calling one of them "too gay" and another one "gross" for performing barefoot. It was speculated that she would be forced to leave the program before the season ended; however, after an emergency meeting between TV4 and TV400, it was decided that she would be given a second chance. Ola Svensson
Ola Nils Håkan Svensson (born 23 February 1986) is a Swedish artist and songwriter, known professionally by the mononym Ola until 2014, and as Brother Leo from 2018 to present. Born in Lund, Skåne, his career began in 2005, when he finished eighth on season two of '' Swedish Idol''. Since then, Ola has released four studio albums. Natalie (Ola Song)
"Natalie" is a Swedish English language song written by Tony Nilsson which he released in 2006 under the name Tony. It was also included in the compilation ''Absolute Summerhits 2006''. Ola Svensson version Ola Svensson released a hugely successful cover version under the name Ola. Linda Pritchard
Linda Norrgård Pritchard (born 19 May 1983) is a Swedish artist, who has worked with Magnus Uggla and Ace of Base. As a student she attended the Adolf Fredrik's Music School in Stockholm. She participated in '' Idol 2008'' where she got to the qualifying round but was then eliminated, although she was considered one of the favourites. During the summer of 2009, Pritchard participated in Allsång på Skansen as a dancer for Magnus Uggla and she also choreographed for Ace of Base. Pritchard also accompanied Ugglas on his revue tour. Pritchard's first single " Fast Car", originally recorded by Tracy Chapman, was included in the compilation album ''Absolute Music 61''. She had previously sung backing vocals for Celine Dion and Britney Spears. Loulou Lamotte
Louise "Loulou" Lamotte (born 16 April 1981) is a Swedish singer of American descent. Since 2019 she has been a member of the vocal group The Mamas. Lars Eriksson (musician)
Lars Erik Ludvig Eriksson (born 1 April 1980) is a Swedish singer-songwriter who became famous for his participation in Sweden's ''Idol 2008''. Career Eriksson was born in Karlskoga, and was just one year old when his family moved to Liberia in 1981, where Lars' father worked at a mining company. Moving back to Sweden in 1984, Lars began playing piano at age 5. He started writing music at age 9 and performed at school. He learned playing the guitar at around age 16. Anna Henrietta Bergendahl (born 11 December 1991) is a Swedish singer and songwriter. Karl Johan Viktor Palm (born 3 March 1992) is a Swedish singer and former contestant on '' Idol 2008'', where he ended up in fourth place.
