Ideas Campaign
The Ideas Campaign is a grassroots initiative in the Republic of Ireland asking ordinary people for ideas to stimulate economic activity. The origins of the campaign can be traced back to the TV appearance by businesswoman Aileen O'Toole on a special edition of the current affairs programme Prime Time on RTÉ about the state of the Irish economy in January 2009. She argued in the programme that the current focus on economic problems meant that positive, practical ideas for economic growth were being overlooked. In response to her appearance, Prime Time did a follow-up programme on 5 March 2009, on which she launched the Ideas Campaign. The submission for ideas closed at the end of March 2009 and centres on a website - IdeasCampaign.ie - on which ordinary citizens can submit their ideas to stimulate economic growth. Republic Of Ireland

Aileen O'Toole
Aileen O’Toole is a former Irish journalist, notable as a co-founder of ''The Sunday Business Post'', and an online communication consultant. Life Early life From the Northside of Dublin, Aileen O'Toole attended Manor House School in Raheny. After her Leaving Certificate she pursued a diploma in journalism, on what was then the only formal course in that area in Ireland, becoming the first in her family to qualify at third-level. Career Journalism A business journalist, O'Toole was made editor of ''Business & Finance'' magazine at the age of 29, the first woman to edit a national business title in Ireland. O'Toole was one of the four co-founders of ''The Sunday Business Post'' newspaper in 1989, and was both a director and Deputy Editor. She was a shareholder in the business until 1997, when it was sold to Trinity Mirror plc., which yielded a personal payout in excess of 1.1 million pounds. Prime Time (Irish TV Programme)
''Prime Time'' is an Irish current affairs television programme airing on RTÉ One on Tuesday and Thursday nights (following the '' RTÉ Nine O'Clock News''). First broadcast on RTÉ One in 1992, Miriam O'Callaghan has been its main presenter for over fifteen years. Only one show per week is broadcast during the summer months. In January 2013, ''The Frontlines format and presenter were subsumed into ''Prime Time'' as part of a re-branding exercise at RTÉ News and Current Affairs. Pat Kenny soon left RTÉ. Later the Monday slot which had been ''The Frontline'' was again split from ''Prime Time''; Claire Byrne left to present the newly branded ''Claire Byrne Live'' programme in that slot. Taoiseach
The Taoiseach is the head of government, or prime minister, of Republic of Ireland, Ireland. The office is appointed by the president of Ireland upon the nomination of Dáil Éireann (the lower house of the Oireachtas, Ireland's national legislature) and the office-holder must retain the support of a majority in the Dáil to remain in office. The Irish language, Irish word ''Wiktionary:taoiseach, taoiseach'' means "chief" or "leader", and was adopted in the 1937 Constitution of Ireland as the title of the "head of the Government or Prime Minister". It is the official title of the head of government in both English and Irish, and is not used for the prime ministers of other countries, who are instead referred to in Irish by the generic term ''príomh-aire''. Brian Cowen
Brian Bernard Cowen (born 10 January 1960) is an Irish former politician who served as Taoiseach and Leader of Fianna Fáil from 2008 to 2011. Cowen was elected to Dáil Éireann in 1984, for the constituency of Laois–Offaly and served in a number of ministerial roles, including Minister for Labour from 1992 to 1993, Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications from 1993 to 1994, Minister for Health and Children from 1997 to 2000, Minister for Foreign Affairs from 2000 to 2004, Minister for Finance from 2004 to 2008 and Tánaiste from 2007 to 2008. The knowledge economy (or the knowledge-based economy) is an economic system in which the production of goods and services is based principally on knowledge-intensive activities that contribute to advancement in technical and scientific innovation. The key element of value is the greater dependence on human capital and intellectual property for the source of the innovative ideas, information and practices.
