State Highway 54 (SH-54) is a state highway in Kootenai County, Idaho, United States, that connects Idaho State Highway 41 (SH-41) in Spirit Lake with Hudson Bay Road and North Main Avenue in Bayview. Route description SH-54 begins at an intersection with SH-41 in the on the southern edge of Spirit Lake. The route travels east out of the city, passing by Timberlake High School. SH-54 passed through the city of Athol, with a diamond interchange with U.S. Route 95 immediately thereafter. At Smylie Boulevard, the road continues east, turning northeast at a circular intersection with Good Hope Road, where it enters Farragut State Park. SH-54 continues near Lake Pend Oreille, where it turns north into the town of Bayview. The road makes a brief turn to the east before terminating at Hudson Bay Road and North Main Avenue near the shores of Scenic Bay. Timberlake High School
Timberlake High School is a four-year public secondary school in Spirit Lake, Idaho. Opened in 1998 at the south end of town, it is the second high school in the Lakeland Joint School District #272 of northern Kootenai County and draws its students from Spirit Lake, Athol, Bayview, and Twin Lakes. The school colors are navy blue, gold, and white, and its mascot is the white tiger. Timberlake originally was six grades and included grades 7 and 8; a separate junior high was built on the north end of the campus and opened in 2004. A diamond interchange is a common type of road junction, used where a controlled-access highway crosses a minor road. Design The freeway itself is grade-separated from the minor road, one crossing the other over a bridge. Lake Pend Oreille
Lake Pend Oreille ( ) in the northern Idaho Panhandle is the largest lake in the U.S. state of Idaho and the 38th-largest lake by area in the United States, with a surface area of . It is long, and deep in some regions, making it the fifth-deepest in the nation and having a volume of 43,939,940 acre feet = 54 km3. Newport, Washington
Newport is a city in and the county seat of Pend Oreille County, Washington, United States. The population was 2,126 at the 2010 census. History Newport was given its name in 1890 because it was selected as a landing site for the first steamboat on the Pend Oreille River. Newport was officially incorporated on April 13, 1903. The first river bridge was built in 1906, and was replaced in 1926, and again in 1988. On July 14, 2015, an explosion took place at Zodiac Aerospace.
