Ibusa (Igbuzo) Town
Igbuzo (also Igbo-ụzọ or ''Ibusa)'' is an Igbo community in Delta State, Nigeria, founded ''c.'' 1450. the community is in Oshimili North. It has an estimated population of 566,310 people in 2009. The people speak the Enuanị dialect of the Igbo language family. The Royal Niger Company was a mercantile company chartered by the British government in the nineteenth century. Ekumeku War
The Ekumeku Movement consisted of a series of uprisings against the rising power of the Royal Niger Company of the British Empire by Anioma people in present-day Delta State. The British penetration of Nigeria met with various forms of resistance throughout the country. In the south, the British had to fight many wars, in particular the wars against the Aro of Eastern Igboland in 1901–1902, and from 1883 to 1914, the Anioma in Western Igboland. History The opposition was strong in Anioma land where a series of wars were waged against the British. The Ekumeku, who were well organized and whose leaders were joined in secrecy oaths, effectively utilized guerrilla tactics to attack the British. Nri is an Igbo city-state in Anambra State, Biafra. It was the seat of a powerful and imperial state who was influenced much by the territories inhabited by the Igbo of Awka and Onitsha to the east; the Efik, the Ibibio, to the south; Nsukka and Asaba, and the Anioma to the west. Owerri ( , ) is the capital city of Imo State in Nigeria, set in the heart of Igboland. It is also the state's largest city, followed by Orlu, Okigwe and Ohaji/Egbema.
