Iain Scobbie
Iain Girvan Mann Scobbie is a British scholar of international law who is the Chair of International Law at the University of Manchester, where he lectures on public international law, international courts and tribunals, and the use of force. He was previously the Sir Joseph Hotung Research Professor in Law, Human Rights and Peace Building in the Middle East at the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London, where he remains affiliated. Early life and education Scobbie studied from 1977–1981 at the University of Edinburgh, earning an LLB (Hons). In 1981–82 he was at the University of Cambridge, where he earned an LLB in international law. In 1982–83 he studied at the Australian National University, receiving a GDIL. Michael Lynk
Stanley Michael Lynk (born 1952) is a Canadian legal academic. He is currently an associate professor at the University of Western Ontario and the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian Territories occupied since 1967. Early life and education Michael Lynk was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia to parents: Sarah and Stanley Lynk. His maternal grandparents were Lebanese emigrants to Canada. Lynk earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dalhousie University in 1974, followed by a bachelor of laws from the same university in 1981, before completing a master of law at Queen's University. Professional career Lynk is an associate professor of law at the University of Western Ontario. Sir Joseph Edward Hotung (1930 – 16 December 2021) was a Hong Kong businessman, art collector, and philanthropist. Biography Hotung was born to Edward Hotung, son of Hong Kong tycoon Robert Hotung, in Shanghai in 1930. His brother was Eric Hotung. He was educated at St. Louis College in Tianjin, the Catholic University of America, and the University of London, from which he received a LL.B.
