The ISU Junior Grand Prix in the Czech Republic (often titled Czech Skate) is an international figure skating competition. Sanctioned by the International Skating Union, it is held in the autumn in some years as part of the JGP series. ISU Junior Grand Prix
The ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating (titled the ISU Junior Series in the 1997–98 season) is a series of international junior-level competitions organized by the International Skating Union. Medals are awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The series was inaugurated in 1997 to complement the senior-level ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Skaters earn qualifying points at each Junior Grand Prix event and the six highest-ranking qualifiers meet at the ISU Junior Grand Prix Final, which is held concurrently with the Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final. Andrei Griazev
Andrei Vladimirovich Griazev (russian: Андрей Владимирович Грязев; born 26 July 1985) is a Russian former competitive figure skater. He is the 2005 Cup of China and 2007 Cup of Russia bronze medalist, 2004 World Junior champion, and 2007 Russian national champion. Personal life Griazev was born 26 July 1985 in Perm, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union. Career Griazev began skating at the age of four. At the age of 11, he moved from Perm to Saint Petersburg to train with coach Alexei Mishin. He trained at the Yubileyny Sports Palace. During his time training with Mishin, Griazev learned the triple Axel jump. Griazev placed 14th at the 2002 Junior Worlds, after which Mishin sent him to work with his wife, Tatiana Mishina. Tatsuki Machida
(born March 9, 1990) is a Japanese retired figure skater. He is the 2014 World silver medalist, the 2010 Four Continents silver medalist, and the 2013–14 Japanese national silver medalist. Machida is the winner of four Grand Prix events — the 2012 Cup of China, 2013 Skate America, 2013 Rostelecom Cup, and 2014 Skate America. Personal life Tatsuki Machida was born in Kawasaki, Kanagawa, Japan. He studied literature at Kansai University in Osaka. Tommy Steenberg
Tommy Steenberg (born November 23, 1988 in Honolulu, Hawaii) is an American retired figure skater. He won three gold medals on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series and placed ninth at the 2008 World Junior Championships. Tommy Steenberg is a PSA Master Rated Choreographer and Free Skating Coach. He competed internationally for Team USA for 8 years. The 2006–07 ISU Junior Grand Prix was the tenth season of the ISU Junior Grand Prix, a series of international junior level competitions organized by the International Skating Union. It was the Junior-level complement to the 2006–07 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, which was for Senior-level skaters. Skaters compete in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance. The top skaters from the series met at the Junior Grand Prix Final. Austin Kanallakan
Austin Kanallakan (born May 23, 1991) is an American former competitive figure skater. He won three gold medals on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series and silver at the 2006 JGP Final. In his first year on the JGP circuit, Kanallakan qualified for the Junior Grand Prix Final, where he placed second. He qualified twice more for the event but did not make the podium again. Takahiko Kozuka
is a former competitive Japanese figure skater. He is the 2011 World silver medalist, a two-time Grand Prix Final medalist, a two-time Four Continents medalist, and the 2010–11 Japanese national champion. He is also the 2006 World Junior champion and the 2005–06 JGP Final champion. Personal life Kozuka was born on February 27, 1989 in Nagoya, Japan. His father, Tsuguhiko Kozuka, competed in singles skating at the 1968 Olympics; his mother, Sachiko, competed in ice dancing; and his grandfather, Mitsuhiko Kozuka, was prominent in early Japanese skating. Alexander Sergeyevich Uspenski (russian: Александр Серге́евич Успенский; born 25 April 1987) is a Russian former competitive figure skater.
