2006–07 ISU Junior Grand Prix
The 2006–07 ISU Junior Grand Prix was the tenth season of the ISU Junior Grand Prix, a series of international junior level competitions organized by the International Skating Union. It was the Junior-level complement to the 2006–07 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, which was for Senior-level skaters. Skaters compete in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance. The top skaters from the series met at the Junior Grand Prix Final. Skaters who reached the age of 13 by July 1, 2006 but had not turned 19 (singles and females of the other two disciplines) or 21 (male pair skaters and ice dancers) were eligible to compete on the junior circuit. ISU Junior Grand Prix
The ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating (titled the ISU Junior Series in the 1997–98 season) is a series of international junior-level competitions organized by the International Skating Union. Medals are awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The series was inaugurated in 1997 to complement the senior-level ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Skaters earn qualifying points at each Junior Grand Prix event and the six highest-ranking qualifiers meet at the ISU Junior Grand Prix Final, which is held concurrently with the Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final. Rockne Brubaker
Rockne Lee Brubaker, II (born June 21, 1986) is an American former competitive pair skater. With Keauna McLaughlin, he is the 2010 Four Continents silver medalist, the 2007 World Junior champion, and a two-time (2008–2009) U.S. national champion. With Mary Beth Marley, he is the 2012 Four Continents bronze medalist and 2012 U.S. silver medalist. Personal life Rockne Brubaker Jr was born in St. Louis, Missouri. His younger brother Collin Brubaker is a competitive ice dancer. He was named after his father, Rockne Brubaker Sr., who had been named after Knute Rockne. Brubaker graduated from Harry D. Jacobs High School in Algonquin, Illinois. He is a student at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs majoring in business administration and sports marketing. Keauna McLaughlin
Keauna Inaba McLaughlin (born September 25, 1992) is an American former competitive pair skater. With partner Rockne Brubaker, she is the 2008 & 2009 U.S. National Champion, the 2010 Four Continents silver medalist, and the 2007 World Junior Champion. Personal life Keauna McLaughlin was born in Tarzana, California. She moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado to train and attended Cheyenne Mountain High School. Her name is based on a Hawaiian word for "feminine wind running through the forest". Her mother, Lei Ina, was a senior-level pair skater and skated professionally as a show skater with Disney on Ice. Caroline Zhao Zhang (born May 20, 1993) is an American figure skater. She is a two-time (2010 and 2012) Four Continents bronze medalist, the 2007 World Junior Champion, the 2006 Junior Grand Prix Final champion, and a three-time U.S. national medalist (bronze in 2009, pewter in 2008 and 2012). Tommy Steenberg
Tommy Steenberg (born November 23, 1988 in Honolulu, Hawaii) is an American retired figure skater. He won three gold medals on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series and placed ninth at the 2008 World Junior Championships. Tommy Steenberg is a PSA Master Rated Choreographer and Free Skating Coach. He competed internationally for Team USA for 8 years. His competitive accomplishments include: 3x Junior Grand Prix Champion, 10x national competitor (2001-2010), 3x national medalist (intermediate, novice, and junior), 2008 Regional and Sectional Champion, and 2008 Junior World top 10 finisher. Chinese Taipei
"Chinese Taipei" is the term used in various international organizations and tournaments for groups or delegations representing the Republic of China (ROC), a country commonly known as Taiwan.
