IFEMA
Ifema (short for ''Institución Ferial de Madrid; "''Fair Institution of Madrid") is an entity charged with the organisation of fairs, halls and congresses in their facilities in Madrid. It is a consortium partnered by the Ayuntamiento de Madrid (31 %), the regional administration of the Community of Madrid (31 %), the Madrid Chamber of Commerce and Industry (31 %) and the Montemadrid Foundation. The first fair organised by Ifema took place in 1980. Until then Madrid did not celebrate fairs, as it was a privilege reserved to cities such as Valencia or Barcelona. Initially IFEMA had facilities in the Paseo de la Castellana and the Casa de Campo, but as it grew bigger, new facilities were opened in the Campo de las Naciones near the Barajas Airport in 1991. FITUR, SIMO, MOTORTEC, ARCO and the Madrid Fashion Week are some of the fairs organised by IFEMA. The facilities of IFEMA also served as the venue of COP25 and the 2022 NATO Summit. The 2022 Madrid summit was a meeting of the heads of state and heads of government of NATO member and partner countries held in Madrid, Spain, on 28–30 June 2022. Spain previously hosted a NATO Summit in 1997. MOTORTEC
Motortec is an international trade fair of automotive components and accessories originally only held biennially (on odd years) in Madrid, at the IFEMA exhibition centre. The 2007 edition, held in May, boasted 804 exhibitors from 24 countries. The 2009 edition took place in March. Until 2020, it was known as ''Motortec Automechanika Madrid''. The collaboration with Messe Frankfurt was not renewed. The 16th Motortec Madrid took place from 20 to 23 April 2022. 500 exhibitors presented their products and services. Over 52,000 visitors came to the show. It has now been exported to Chile starting in 2022. The first Motortec Chile took place from 6 to 8 October 2022. COVID-19 Pandemic In Spain
The COVID-19 pandemic in Spain has resulted in confirmed cases of COVID-19 and deaths. The virus was first confirmed to have spread to Spain on 31 January 2020, when a German tourist tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 in La Gomera, Canary Islands. Post-hoc genetic analysis has shown that at least 15 strains of the virus had been imported, and community transmission began by mid-February. By 13 March, cases had been confirmed in all 50 provinces of the country. A partially unconstitutional lockdown was imposed on 14 March 2020. On 29 March, it was announced that, beginning the following day, all non-essential workers were ordered to remain at home for the next 14 days. The Casa de Campo (, for Spanish: ''Country House'') is the largest public park in Madrid. It is situated west of central Madrid, Spain.
