I24NEWS (Israeli TV Channel)
i24NEWS is an international 24-hour news television channel located in Jaffa Port, Tel Aviv, Israel. It broadcasts in French, English, and Arabic. The English channel offers a weekly broadcast in Spanish, as well. The channel's owner is Patrick Drahi, and the CEO is Frank Melloul. In February 2017, i24NEWS expanded into the North American market and opened bureaus in the United States. The channel has studios in Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Paris, New York, Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles, and deploys correspondents in other locations around the world. In September 2021, following the Abraham Accords, the channel received a broadcasting license from the United Arab Emirates and opened its Gulf bureau in Dubai Media City. Patrick Drahi ( he, פטריק דרהי; born 20 August 1963) is a French–Israeli billionaire, businessman telecoms, media tycoon, and investor, magnate. He has been living in Switzerland since 1999.. He is the founder and controlling shareholder of the European-based telecom group Altice, listed on the European Euronext Stock Exchange and Patrick Drahi also owns 18% of BT Group. Early life Drahi was born in Casablanca, Morocco to a Jewish family. When he was 15 years old, the family moved to Montpellier, France. His parents are both math teachers. Al Arabiya English is the English language service of the Dubai-based regional Arab newscaster, Al-Arabiya News Channel. Its main audiences reside in the United States and the United Kingdom. The Abraham Accords are a series of joint normalization statements initially between Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain, effective since September 15, 2020.
