Hwang Yu-mi
Hwang Yu-mi (Hangul: 황유미; born 18 March 1983) is a South Korean former badminton player. She competed at the 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympics. Career In 2003, she won the silver medal at the Asian Championships in the women's doubles event. Hwang competed for South Korea in badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics in women's doubles with partner Lee Hyo-jung. They had a bye in the first round and defeated Cheng Wen-Hsing and Chien Yu Chin of Chinese Taipei in the second. In the quarterfinals, Hwang and Lee lost to Zhao Tingting and Wei Yili of China 8–15, 15–6, 15–13. Chien Yu Chin
Chien Yu-chin (; born 24 October 1982) is a Taiwanese former badminton player. Summer Olympics Chien competed for Chinese Taipei in the 2004 Olympics in the women's doubles with partner Cheng Wen-hsing. They defeated Helen Nichol and Charmaine Reid of Canada in the first round but were defeated by Hwang Yu-mi and Lee Hyo-jung of South Korea in the round of 16. At the 2008 Summer Olympics, again with Cheng, they lost to Wei Yili and Zhang Yawen of China in the quarter-finals. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she teamed up with Cheng again, but they lost to Tian Qing and Zhao Yunlei, the eventual winners, in the quarterfinal. Cheng Wen-Hsing
Cheng Wen-hsing (; born 24 February 1982) is a Taiwanese former badminton player. She is now works as German national team coach. Career Cheng competed for Chinese Taipei in the 2004 Olympics in the women's doubles with partner Chien Yu-chin. They defeated Helen Nichol and Charmaine Reid of Canada in the first round but were defeated by Hwang Yu-mi and Lee Hyo-jung of South Korea in the round of 16. Cheng also competed in the mixed doubles with partner Tsai Chia-hsin. They defeated Chris Dednam and Antoinette Uys of South Africa in the first round, but lost to Zhang Jun and Gao Ling of China in the round of 16. During the 2008 Summer Olympics, Cheng again teamed with Chien Yu-chin in the women's doubles, reaching the quarter-finals. This pair also reached the quarter-finals at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Lee Hyo-jung (badminton)
Lee Hyo-jung (Hangul: 이효정, Hanja: 李孝貞; ; born 13 January 1981) is a South Korean former badminton player. She won the gold medal in badminton mixed doubles at the 2008 Summer Olympics with her partner, Lee Yong-dae. Lee Hyo-jung and Lee Yong-dae were unseeded, and in the finals they beat the top seeds and 2005 and 2007 world champions Lilyana Natsir and Nova Widianto of Indonesia, 21-11, 21-17. Lee Hyo-jung also won the silver medal in badminton women's doubles at the aforementioned Olympics with Lee Kyung-won; they were seeded fourth and lost to the second-seeded Chinese pair, Du Jing and Yu Yang. 1999 Asian Junior Badminton Championships
The 1999 Asian Junior Badminton Championships were held in Yangon, Myanmar from 11–17 July. This tournament organized by the Asian Badminton Confederation, and there were 24 countries and regions with more than 350 players and officials participated in the Championships. Venue The tournament was held at the National Indoor Stadium – 1 in Thuwunna, Yangon, Myanmar. Medalists China and Indonesia captured a team gold and silver medal in the girls' and boys' team respectively. Korea and Malaysia shared third place in the boys' team event.
