Humboldt—Melfort
Humboldt—Melfort (also known as Humboldt—Melfort—Tisdale) was a federal electoral district in Saskatchewan, Canada, that was represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1952 to 1968. This riding was created in 1952 from parts of Humboldt, Melfort and Yorkton ridings. In 1961, the riding was renamed "Humboldt—Melfort—Tisdale". The riding was abolished in 1966 when it was redistributed into Mackenzie, Prince Albert, Regina East, Regina—Lake Centre and Saskatoon—Humboldt ridings. Reynold Rapp
Reynold Rapp (26 December 1901 – 17 June 1972) was a Progressive Conservative party member of the House of Commons of Canada. He was born in Crimea, Russian Empire and became a farmer by career. He was first elected at the Humboldt—Melfort riding in the 1958 general election. After the riding became known as Humboldt—Melfort—Tisdale, Rapp was re-elected there in 1962, 1963 and 1965. After completing his final term in 1968, the 27th Canadian Parliament, he did not seek another term in Parliament and left federal politics. Rapp was party Whip in 1967 and 1968. Saskatoon—Humboldt
Saskatoon—Humboldt was a federal electoral district in Saskatchewan, Canada, that was represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1968 to 1979, and from 1988 to 2015. Geography The riding consisted of the northeastern quadrant of Saskatoon and the city of Humboldt and the rural towns of Naicam, Wakaw and Watson. The riding extended to Quill Lake in the east, Pleasantdale in the northeast and St. Louis in the north. History This electoral district was first created in 1966 from Humboldt—Melfort, Rosthern (electoral district) and Saskatoon ridings. The House of Commons of Canada (french: Chambre des communes du Canada) is the lower house of the Parliament of Canada. Together with the Crown and the Senate of Canada, they comprise the bicameral legislature of Canada. The House of Commons is a democratically elected body whose members are known as members of Parliament (MPs). There have been 338 MPs since the most recent electoral district redistribution for the 2015 federal election, which saw the addition of 30 seats.
