Hsieh Fa-dah
Hsieh Fa-dah (; born 17 May 1950) is a Taiwanese diplomat. He was the ROC representative to Singapore in 2012-2015. Xie (; ) is a Chinese-language surname. lt is usually romanized as "Hsieh" in Taiwan. It is estimated that there are more than ten million people with this surname, the majority of whom live in Taiwan, Southern China, South East Asia, America, Europe and Africa. It is particularly common in Taiwan where it is the 13th most common surname in 2016. Lin Hsin-i
Lin Hsin-i (; born 2 December 1946) is a Taiwanese businessman. He served in the Democratic Progressive Party administration as Minister of Economic Affairs between 2000 and 2002, then as Vice Premier between 2002 and 2004. In November 2005, while a Senior Presidential Adviser, Lin attended the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum in Busan, South Korea, in place of Taiwan's President Chen Shui-bian. Because of opposition from the People's Republic of China, Taiwan's senior leaders are unable to attend APEC events in person and must send a ministerial-level envoy. He was Chairman of the Industrial Technology Research Institute from 2004 to 2008. A graduate of National Cheng Kung University, Lin was an executive in the car industry before entering politics. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan) (MOFA; ) is a ministry of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Taiwanese people may be generally considered the people of Taiwan who share a common culture, ancestry and speak Taiwanese Mandarin, Hokkien, Hakka or indigenous Taiwanese languages as a mother tongue. Taiwanese people may also refer to the indigenous peoples of the areas under the control of the Government of the Republic of China since 1945, including Penghu as well as Kinmen and Matsu Islands that collectively form its streamlined Fujian Province (see Taiwan Area). National Chengchi University () is a public research university in Taipei. The university is also considered as the earliest public service training facility of the Republic of China. Taichung County
Taichung County was a county in central Taiwan between 1945 and 2010. The county seat was in Yuanlin Township before 1950 and Fongyuan City after 1950. History Taichung County was established on 26 November 1945 on the territory of Taichū Prefecture () shortly after the end of World War II. In the early years, Taichung County consists of most territory of Taichū Prefecture except the territory near cities of Taichū (Taichung) and Shōka (Changhua). The county is subdivide into districts (), which is reformed from Japanese districts (). The districts are divided into townships. On 16 August 1950, another division reform was implemented. Hu Sheng-cheng
Hu Sheng-cheng (; 5 August 1940 – 10 July 2018) was a Taiwanese economist. He led the Council for Economic Planning and Development from 2004 to 2007 and the Financial Supervisory Commission from 2007 to 2008. Academic career Hu studied economics at the University of Rochester in the United States, where he earned a Ph.D, after having graduated from National Taiwan University in 1962. He remained in the United States, and began a teaching career at Purdue University in 1968. While working in the U.S., Hu authored a pair of reports to the Social Security Administration. Hu returned to Taiwan in 1996, teaching at NTU and holding a concurrent appointment at the Academia Sinica until 2001. Council For Economic Planning And Development
The Council for Economic Planning and Development (CEPD; ) was a government agency responsible for drafting overall plans for national economic development in Taiwan (ROC). It also assessed development projects, proposals and programmes submitted to the Executive Yuan. It also coordinated the economic policy making activities of ministries and agencies and the monitoring the implementation of development projects, measures and programmes.
