''La Vida... es un Ratico'' (English: ''Life... Is a Moment'') is the fourth studio album recorded by Colombian singer-songwriter Juanes, which was released by Universal Music Latino on October 23, 2007 (see 2007 in music). Album history Juanes has stated that the album is to be completed in Spanish and has a "very Colombian" sound to it. Juanes co-produced this record, working with a two-time Academy Award-winning producer, Gustavo Santaolalla. It has been said that the album has typical Colombian sounds, such as the "guasca," "vallenato," and "cumbia." When choosing the name for this record, Juanes was inspired by a conversation he had with his mother, who told him to "Not worry, because life is just a moment." Following what that phrase means, Juanes thought of creating an album remembering that life passes you by in a blink of an eye and concentrating more on his family and beloved beings. In 2000, his solo debut album ''Fíjate Bien'' won three Latin Grammy Awards. Juanes has sold more than 15 million albums worldwide. Raised in Colombia, Juanes began playing piano at age two. When Juanes was 17, he started his first band, Ekhymosis, in 1988, which went on to release eight albums, achieving recognition in his native country of Colombia. "La Camisa Negra" ("The Black Shirt") is a Spanish rock song written by Juanes, inspired by Colombian singer-songwriter Octavio Mesa and recorded by Juanes for his third studio album ''Mi Sangre''. In Latin America, the track was released in 2005 as the third single from ''Mi Sangre'', and in Europe, it was released in 2006 as the album's lead single. The song received mixed reviews from critics and generated controversy when it was used to support neo-fascism in Italy.
