Michael Hogue (born 31 March 1975) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1990s. Primarily a , he was a foundation player for the North Queensland Cowboys. Background Born in Townsville, Queensland, Hogue played his junior rugby league for Townsville Brothers and attended Ignatius Park College. Hogue, Inc., is an American company that manufactures and distributes firearms accessories and related products. Founded in 1968 in California, and now based in Henderson, Nevada, the company is best known for its pistol grips. History The company was founded by Guy Hogue in 1968, after he started making pistol grips that would properly fit his hand. As a member of the Los Angeles Police Department, Hogue also started making grips for fellow officers. His grips became so popular that he retired from his job in law enforcement to focus on his own business. The company has expanded over time and now provides grips for at least 16 different brands of handguns, manufactured in four different Hogue facilities. Grips are produced in rubber and in wood, in multiple colors and textures. The company also makes holsters and rifle stocks. Wilson Thomas Hogue (1852–1920) was an American bishop of the Free Methodist Church, elected in 1903. He was born 6 March 1852 in Lyndon, New York. His parents were Scottish-English Methodists. His father was a class meeting leader in the Methodist Episcopal Church. Hogue was converted to the Christian faith at the age of nine, and felt called to preach at eleven. Nevertheless, he did not yield to this call until sixteen. He joined the Genesee Annual Conference of the Free Methodist Church in 1873 and was ordained by Bishops Roberts and Hart. Willis 'Shorty' Hogue was a boxer in California during the 1940s, along with Lloyd Marshall, Charley Burley, Jack Chase (Young Joe Louis), Archie Moore and Eddie Booker. Russ Hogue (born December 26, 1974) is an American kickboxer from Belleville, Illinois. He started training in martial arts under three time world kickboxing champion Jim Boucher in Belleville, Illinois. Paul H. "Duke" Hogue (April 28, 1940 – August 17, 2009) was an American basketball player. Early life Hogue grew up on Wilson Avenue in Knoxville, Tennessee and played basketball at Austin High School, an all-black high school where his father served as principal. He graduated from Austin in 1958. College career Because Hogue was black, he wasn't recruited by nearby or southern universities. He chose to attend the University of Cincinnati, largely due to the program's prominence and the chance to play with its star, Oscar Robertson.
