Hirshabelle, officially Hirshabelle State of Somalia ( Somali: ''Dowlad Goboleedka Hirshabelle ee Soomaaliya''), is a Federal Member State in south-central Somalia. It is bordered by Galmudug state of Somalia to the north, South West State of Somalia and Banadir region to the south, Ethiopia to the west and the Indian Ocean to the east. Jowhar is the capital state. Hirshabelle consists of the Hiran and Middle Shabelle regions of Somalia. The name of the state originates from combining their names. Hirshabelle proclaimed itself the autonomous Federal Member State of the Federal Republic of Somalia as stipulated in the provisional Constitution of Somalia. Ali Abdullahi Osoble
Ali Abdullahi Osoble ( so, Cali Cabdullaahi Cosoble; born Mogadishu, Somalia) is the son of Abdullahi Osoble Siad, who was Minister of Telecommunications during the Siad Barre Regime in the 1970s and 1980s and also the maternal grandson of Ahmed Gelle, who was the Minister of Justice prior to the military regime. He was first president of Hirshabelle State, the regional federal state of Somalia and the first to serve under its established name of Hirshabelle. Ali Abdullahi Hussein (Ali Guudlaawe (, born 1974) is Somalia, Somali politician who has served as the List of presidents of Hirshabelle, President of Hirshabelle from 12 November 2020. Yusuf Ahmed Hagar (Dabageed) ( so, Yuusuf Axmed Xagar Dabageed) is a Somali politician and current Vice President of Hirshabelle State. He was governor of the Hiran region of Somalia. He supports the Somali Transitional Federal Government (TFG), and was militarily supported by Ethiopia in the War in Somalia (2006–2009). Mohamed Abdi Ware
Mohamed Abdi Ware ( so, Maxamed Cabdi Waare; born 14 February 1960) is a Somali politician. He was the president of Hirshabelle, assumed office on 16 September 2017. Biography Waare hails from the Yabar Madaxweyne sub-clan of Xawaadle, and was born in the Jowhar, Middle Shabelle which at that time in 1960 was part of Banadir region. Mohamed Abdi Ware received his primary education in Halgan village in Bulo-Burte District, and completed his secondary education in Hodan District in Mogadishu. Jowhar ( so, Jowhar, ar, جوهر) is the capital city of Hirshabelle state of Somalia. Jowhar is also the administrative capital of Middle Shabelle Regions of Somalia, region of Somalia. Hiran ( so, Hiiraan, ar, هيران) is an administrative region ('' gobol'') in central Somalia and part of the Hirshabelle State.
