Hindustan Football Club is an Indian professional football club based in New Delhi. Affiliated with Football Delhi (FD), the club last participated in Delhi Premier League. Founded in 1948, Hindustan predominantly participated in I-League 2nd Division, which was then second tier of Indian football league system. They use Ambedkar Stadium as home ground, in addition to Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium for selected matches. History Formation and early history Hindustan FC was founded in 1948 in New Delhi. Thus it, owned and run by Bengalis, became one of the oldest football clubs in the capital city of India. Delhi Football League
The Delhi Football League is organised by Football Delhi (FD) as a ladder-based state football competition involving a total of four divisions and over 80 teams in the Indian state of Delhi. Delhi Premier League is the top-division, started in 1948 as DSA Senior Division. History The first parent body of Delhi football was formed in 1926, with professor Mohammed Zubair Qureishi as secretary. There was no proper local league but the clubs used to participate in private tournaments organised by sport enthusiasts. Due to the violence and upheaval caused by the Partition of India, the Delhi League was suspended after 1946. It resumed in 1948 and the oldest club in the capital Young Men has won it that year. Garhwal Football Club (also known as Garhwal Heroes FC) is an Indian professional football club based in New Delhi. The club lifted its first FD Senior Division league title in 1986, which became one of the most successful seasons in their history. The 2019 I-League 2nd Division (known as Hero 2018–19 I-League 2nd Division for sponsorship reasons), was the 12th season of the I-League 2nd Division, the second division Indian football league, since its establishment in 2008. 2017–18 I-League 2nd Division
The 2017–18 I-League 2nd Division (known as Hero 2017–18 I-League 2nd Division, for sponsorship reasons) was the 11th season of the I-League 2nd Division, the second division Indian football league, since its establishment in 2008. The season started with the preliminary rounds from 14 March to 15 May 2018. The final round of the league took place between 21 May to 30 May 2018 at FSV Arena, Bengaluru. I-League
The I-League (known as Hero I-League for sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp) is the second-tier men's professional football competition of the Indian football league system. It is currently contested by 12 clubs across the country with the winners getting promotion to play in the premier division, the Indian Super League. The competition was founded in 2007 as the successor to the National Football League, with the first season starting in November 2007.
